Don't care about the other songs on Rock Band, just get U2!

U2. Any song will do, but "Bullet The Blue Sky" would be epic. It's got everything, Bonos thoughtful lyrics, the Edge and his guitar on FIRE, the solo in the clip below is nothing short of orgasmic. The Bassline is great on this one, Adam does a fantastic job. The soloparts also keep the bassplayer occupied so it should work well for the game. Last but not least, Larrys heavy right foot with arms from another world will make this tune a must-play for all hard rocking bands out there!

MSNBC's and similar lists do not take into account talent, just fame. there is a difference between a talented band and a famous band. you see the ramones listed as #7. i know they're in the game, but the songs consist of 3-4 fu*king chords.

I wouldn't mind U2 in it... but I'd prefer Beautiful Day, or Elevation (and that was in Singstar... so it's unlikely it'll be in Rock Band anyway).

But I do agree with others in the sense that U2 are hugely over rated.

I think it'S a nice variation to all those hardcore rock songs. I would like that. I mean, it works, all the instruments are there. And I think it would be so nice to play such a slow romantic song (the best lovesong ever written IMO) as encore for example.

And hey, this song is by a Rockband, and Rockbands do have slow romantic songs too, so I don't see a reason why it should'nt be in the game!! All the instruments are there, after all.

Oh, there is another song I would love to have! "Sometimes you can't make it on your own!!"

So, either Sometimes you can't make it on your own, Beautiful Day or With or Without You. I would prefer With or Without You though, because the song is simple stunning. You know why when you watch the video above.

I didn't think I'd agree, but I do! With Or Without You could actually fit the game quite nicely. Alex (head at Harmonix) said that they wanted the original tracklisting to be kind of a Rock history with great songs from the 50's all the way through to the 00's. When wanting to have such a huge span in the songs on offer, With Or Without You would work well I think!

Hell, It could even be a bonus track, it would be nice to see Harmonix pay for some decent bonustracks. The bonus tracks on Guitar Hero 1 & 2 suck so much that I believe the bands paid Harmonix to be in the game..


Still.. The drumming in "Bullet The Blue Sky" would be incredibly fun. I bet even alex would agree ;)

That Video... I remember a guy from work lending me the DVD with it on it... yeah it was amazing to watch back then too (In fact, I remember replaying the DVD 3 times running)

But I still think Beautiful Day is a better song for it, lol, but I'd not be upset at With Or Without You :)

Definitely that or Achtung Baby, easily their two best albums and I'd take any song on them for inclusion, and a damn fun time playing, in Rock Band. Singing along to Bono would be a challenge though. :)

Bwa haw haw! Yeah, I really hope there's no U2 in the game. I was pretty neutral toward them, until I just kept hearing the same songs over and over. I listen to the channel, First Wave a lot on Sirius radio, and for some irritating reason they play two U2 songs every friggin' hour!! After that I realized what a mediocre band they are. Bono can't sing that well at all, and their songs get old quick. Oh, and while I'm on the subject of over-played over-rated bands, I hope there aren't any songs by The Police in the game either.
