Megadeth In Rock Band

Okay so Megadeth has been with Harmonix since the first Guitar Hero and it is LIKELY though not guaranteed that they will appear in Rock Band. So which song do you think would be the best for Rock Band? I really REALLY want Holy Wars in this game but lets see what everyone else thinks.

Well, I personally think Skin O' My Teeth would be a better pick (because it's not only about the guitar - listen to the drum opening), but as it's not in the list, I voted for Tornado of Souls, which I love a lot too.

yeah i have beaten Symphony of Destruction and Hangar 18 (i don't think being in a game ONE TIME qualifies as being done to death...) on expert many times but yeah lots of their other songs would kill on expert....and yes Rust In Peace...Polaris would also own...just about their whole discography would kill

It's one of the best live songs they have only because it has EVERYTHING. Challenging vocal line, Intense guitar solo (even a dueling one), and a drum solo. Ashes would be insane to master on RockBand

It's been a LOOONG time since anyone has even noticed my thread here....glad to see it getting attention again :D Yeah I wasn't In my right mind when I first Made the poll though otherwise I would've added alot more songs to it...but Yeah I hope and pray that every night by chance someone from Harmonix would gander through some threads to get ideas for new DLC in the coming weeks and they would just happen to stumble across this thread and then angels would descend from heaven sustaining one long note and they would rake in **** tons of $$$ from the number of downloads...seems logical right ?

But on another note...I definetely agree that we don't need any MEGADETH covers, but MEGADETH themselves..because one..no one alive can properly capture Mustaine's Vocals and two...no one can properly cover the guitar drums and bass perfectly, they can come damn close but still be off.

another side note...I don't think we would ever get Liar because Harmonix edits explicit lyrics from DLC...and Liar wouldn't be much fun edited....except for the part where Mustaine spits more spiteful lyrics in 15 seconds than I have heard most of my life....damn good stuff!

And I might actually change that list to add in Train of Consequences. I charted drums, guitar, and bass for Unsigned (a pc Rock Band clone) and I have to say it is absolutely amazing. The pedal mixes in beautifully in certain offbeats and the drums actually vary throughout the song (very fun). Also, I used the version that I got in my Megadeth Warchest (http://www.amazon.com/Warchest-Megadeth/dp/B000VKW7AK) and it has a crazy solo at the end for guitar (also very fun).

And don't forget the bass, that's fun too.

Now that is some MegaDLC!! I am a proud owner of the Megadeth Warchest, and I must say it was my favorite compilation I've ever heard. It beautifully mixes and matches the best of Megadeth with remasters and unheard demos. The 1990 Live at Wembley Stadium Disc (Four, I believe) was probably my favorite part of the compilation.

But anyways, for Rock Band... I wish!! However... I doubt it. As smart as an idea is to get the favorite songs for everyone and be able to satisfy all fans, it is just highly improbably. The best we can hope for, and should hope for because Megadeth is a band with high demand, is a full album. (Rust In Peace!)

Have you listened the latest album "United Abominations"? I'm guessing not. Has elements that remind me off stuff from Peace Sells all the way to Youthanasia. And, at least for me, is the album that returns Megadeth to greatness and revitalizes hope that Metallica might be able to come back as strongly. Would love to see some tracks off it, like "Sleepwalker" or "Washington Is Next".

Being the latest album, it might be easier to negotiate rights for it, since it'd help promote the album. Ideally, they could swing a package deal, some tracks off UA plus some old stuff.

Is it just me or does anyone else want to see Devil's Island I find most of the stuff off Peace Sells to be largely underrated in favor of the title track. Devil's Island is a truly kickass song.

As much as I love Peace Sells as an album I would rather see most other albums before it. Just from a Rockband fun aspect, the other albums would be a bertter choice.

I see Symphony of Destruction repeatedly mentioned and IMO I think that song would be boring compared to other songs that could be chosen. (basically anything off of Rust In Peace)

It's too bad Harmonix didn't choose Sweating Bullets instead of Peace Sells. I think it would be more fun than Peace Sells (although I like Peace Sells more). I'm mostly looking at the drums and it would be another great song the band can join in and sing. :)

Yes but Peace Sells has been revered by the masses as Megadeth's most groundbreaking song, much as Enter Sandman is Metallica's most groundbreaking song (according to the media and masses) and hence is why they made it into the games
