that would be kick ass if they could some how incorporate Rock Band into Playstation Home, perhaps people who haven't actually purchased Rock Band could watch us playing on a TV screen while their in a lobby or something...idk, how that would work but lol it would be kinda cool.
Tell your friends, to get on PS:Home to watch you jam out with some friends for a few songs or something

Home is a lot like Second Life, right?
I don't really know the details... can you own a house in it?
is there a TV in your house you can watch?
if so... people could watch your band playing on thier TV, especially if RB has a "Gig mode"
it really wouldn't be too hard to implement live streams over the internet of people playing rock band...
even if the data for the game isn't on your HD or on a disc... a video file is still a video file... so maybe they could just stream a video file taken from one person's system who's playing, and post it up in Home for everybody...
Personally, Home is the reason I wanna buy a PS3 eventually... but i'm waiting for some better games to come out first... Heavy Rain, Heavenly Sword, White Knight Story, Lair... they all look like great games, but none of them are out yet...

I'm not an expert at PS:Home but from watching a demonstration, I saw the ability to have your own apartment and to have parties inside those apartments. In addition, I saw that you could get Sony Bravio TV's and put them on tables and stream videos to your guests.

they could easily implement the streaming Playstation TV channels, kida like in The Darkness, except streaming from the internet, and even more content... they could have a Rock Band channel, and Stream people who are known for getting high scores...

absolutely, Rock band could easily could easily program a module that would convert their game play to a small media file by a request from a Playstation:Home server.

Thats an awesome idea. It could actually be done on 360 as well, not quite the same way but Forza 2 had forza tv where you could watch other people race online. I never personally used it but it was definetly in there. Interesting idea, I wonder if it would require a lot of work to add it for ps3 and not the 360. Bands performing gigs in Second Life is happening more and more so its definetly feasible and worthwhile

not only is it kick ass for Rock Band members to know their friends are watching them. it would also help Rock Band spark even more popularity with just the regular Joe Shmoe Playstation Home guy who has never heard of GH in his life...
I mean imagine, him chillin in the lounge while a huge big screen is playing the top leader board's band ripping up a solo on one of Rock Band's songs. that would be incredible, it would make Sony happy and Rock Band happy.

Something tells me that licensing issues would prevent this from happening. Surely they didn't license the songs for playback on online services to people who might not even have the game. Maybe if it was shown sans audio it would be okay, but what would be the point in watching that?
I'm just guessing though. I have no idea how the licensing is being done.

I was thinking that a way this could be implemented would be :
Before you start an online session with your band it would ask the option , "Publish Session To Playstation Home?"
Now anyone on Playstation Home would be able to turn on their Sony Bravio TV and be able to tune to a certain channel that Sony would provide to link into Random sessions which have chosen the option to publish to the game. After each song it would auto change to a different band based on the song title (so it doesn't repeat). This would almost suggest the implementation to be more so like a radio / advertisement for Rock Band.
Now, for watching your friends play. Each band would receive a unique ID code when they choose to play online, that perhaps 5 digit code could be given to his friends which could be entered into the Sony Bravio channel as opposed to watching it randomly; thus, letting their friends tune into the band they want to watch. I'm not sure about lincensing, but they could potentially put a lock on it to where a user can only watch their friends play 5 times > then it will auto-switch to random for a day or so.
This idea of course is only relevant if licensing could actually be achieved, I would see it as almost a Radio function as opposed to turning it into anything else, that would probably be the most realistic licensing way.

You should be able to record your song and put it on Home and invite your friends over and do some air guitar! I'd love to watch other people across the world playing there songs. We could meet up on Home and boo the hell outta people and they wouldn't even know. I can't wait to see what you can do in PS3 Home. Just to fill everyone up on PS3 Home...
PS3 Home is kinda like the Sims. Except you don't have to take care of a characters needs. PS3 Home is just a way to hang out with friends (chatting using a customized character), make and possibly buy houses and fill up the house with all your stuff. You can have TV's showing your own videos uploaded on PS3 (just a guess...) but i'm sure you can put up your own pictures on the walls of your house. There are also, things like arcades and bowling places to go and have some fun with your PS3 friends. You can also invite friends to play online games. Thats pretty much all you need to know about it. There's alot of info on home at ign.com. That's where I found this out.
