I was just wondering what the usual amount of fans are given for each set that you play.

It seems wierd to me that an 11 song set played perfectly will get you like, 20,000 fans but a three or four song set played perfectly sometimes can net you as much as 30-40,000 fans.

Also, I see on the leaderbaords that the top bands have over 100,000,000 songs, is this just because they play the game so much, or is there a formula to getting the most fans possible per set depending on the set? I'm not talking about the live DVD performances or whatever bonus things happen before the sets either, just straight fans.

it is very simple actually.

assuming you always get 5 stars it goes as follows

when you are in a city there are gennerally three venues to choose from.
1st venue = about 320,000 fans
2nd venue = about 750,000 fans
3rd venue = about 1.5 million fans

now that chnages if you get the double or triple fans thing then obviosuly you just do the math for wich venue you are in.

I dont really know how it works if you get less stars becasue i have been lucky enough to get all 5's so far (fingers crossed)

I personally dont like this system becasue you get a very static amout of fans amongst many bands. If you check the leaderboards it is very common to have like 20 or 30 bands with the same amount of fans.

Also i really hate it becasue you could play single songs set in the third venue get your 1.5million and then play a 4 song set in the fist venue and aonly get the 320,000. It really makes you feel like you just wasted alot of time playing all those extra songs.

I think it should be more based on score rather than satrs (wich are very closely related anyway but there are much more variations in score then there ever will be in stars) Plus you it the more songs in a set should affect the amount of fans you get so you dont dread playing them just for the same amount of fans that a single song will get you. And god forbid if you get gold stars on all songs in a multi songs set YOU SHOULD GET MORE FANS!

I was very dissapointed when i found out that the alogorithm for getting fans was so simple and static.

All I know is that when we were playing one of my stupid friends was too eager and skipped past the Live DVD thing at an 11 song set. By the time we were done we had 5 starred all the songs but one and were totally stoked at finding out that we lost 120,000 fans. Thanks a lot to him.

i've been playing for about 3 weeks but just linked my Ps3 to internet tonight. why does it have all my band members cash amount but no fans or points? can anybody help?

Once you get a certain amount of fans you have to move up in difficulty in order to gain more.
