Will GH3 Guitar work with RB for PS2?

I have RB for PS2 and all of the instraments hook up via USB hub that came with the game. I also purchased GH3 to get the extra guitar since RB only came with one. There are 4 ports on the USB hub, the problem is my GH3 guitar is not USB it's the normal port that plugs in to the PS tower as if its a regular controller. Because of this I can't get GH3's guitar to work with RB?

Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on EBay that people were selling connectors that transfer from PS2 Controller down coverted to USB but I wasn't sure it that would work cause most of them I read say its for turning PS2 controllers into usable controllers for a PC and that there was a disc to load. Has anyone tried this?

We have the PS2.

We have GH3 and our guitar works with RB no problem.

Does your GH3 guitar hook up USB or normal port on the PS tower? I can't get mine to do anything. The lights on the guitar and the wireless receiver are lighting up but it doesn't control anything?

any thoughts?
