Ok so I bought myself a 5.1 sound system and unfortunately it's a bit out of sync. So I played with the calibration for now 2 hours and I almost got it.

The video tho, it still a LITTLE bit, just a bit, more late than the sound. What should I increase or decrease in step 1 or 2 ? I really don't know what effect they have in this.

So far I'm 70ms on first step and 23ms on 2nd. What small modifications will make the video catch up the sound?

Yeah, I'm with you brother.

I'm using front projection DLP.

Also, I'm not even too clear on what I'm supposed to be synching to on Step 2, the visual or the sound? (They're not the same for me)

Either way, I seem to get a different result every time I calibrate -- I still haven't found my sweet spot.

The first step is syncing your TV to the game. The second step is syncing your controller to the game.

Whether you're using sight to sync it or sound to sync it, that depends on which cue you use to play the game.

The first setting determines the amount of time from when the game shows a note to be played, till the game actually plays the sound that's associated with that note as well as mark when you should have played that note.

The second setting determines the amount of time from when the game plays a sound and expects you to have played that note, and the time when it gets a message from the controller saying "I played this".
