View Full Version : Lego Rock Band export doesn't work

Right; when the the second RB came off I exported my songs with no issues from RB1.

Now Lego Rock band is a nightmare!

I managed to get the export key, imported it and did buy the export package thing (2.4gb download).

Now I install the stupid thing and the songs are not in RB2!!! They can't be found anywhere (I've checked, they're not under downloads)!

After the import, there are two "Rock Band" data files in my PS3, one with ~5gb and other with 2.4gb. They have even different logos!

For some reason it seems that the Lego export can't find the existing Rock Band game file and creates another one; that can't been seen from RB2.

Harmonix, please give me an answer for this or there's no way I'm buying another song or RB3 when it comes out (and I really want to buy it)

It's also worth to say that I've emailed Harmonix support a dozen times and never got a real response (just their template responses, "go check in downloads" - "install the export key" and all that crap)

It's been months like this and I even can't get a refund!

I reckon it has something to do with the game region, at least that's what a few friends advised.

I've purchased all three games (RB, RB2 and LRB) in New Zealand, but for some reason a friend told me that my 5gb game file has a different icon than his one (that was purchased in NZ too). That may indicate that I have a US or EU original data file that now can't import LRB songs.

If that's what's causing it; it's one more reason why I hate this stupid region lock things.

It's possible you have a EU version of LRB and a US version of the others, or your account you used the code on is a US code.

DLC is region locked.

Also, the Lego RB download should only be 1.2 GB, not 2.4.

I bought a brand new copy of LRB and used the included code on the website to get my XBL code for free exporting. I got the Export Pack (about 186 KB) and my xbox says to play the game to use it, but the game keeps trying to make me but a 2 gig DLC to export it all. WTF?

You still need to pay for the download.

You only downloaded the Export Key, not the pack itself. You still need to pay 800 MS Points to download the pack, which is considerably larger.

Can you post a picture of the two logos? There when I exported it was saved as a logo that only said Rock Band. It's about 4 GB now because all Rock Band dlc saves here. I didn't have RB1, so I don't know if they are two different logos.

They don't in RB2. RB3 knows how to sort them by different games though.
