...and you'll hear a song and think, "Ooooh, that'd be fun to play in Rock Band?"

Happened to me when "Renegade" by Styx came on yesterday.

the first day I got rock band I played all day and then got high later and every sound I heard was a rock band song. I played the sound of eating a cooking in a big rock finish.

but yeah sometimes I will hear a guitar solo on the radio and think of how fun it'd be in rock band.

:DI feel the same way. The list of songs is long. If only you could make your own songs.

Well, actually when I hear the radio I swear they are playing either the GH soundtrack or Rock Band, every song I hear is off the game.

I've noticed that, too. It seems like the songs from the games are played waaaaay more often now. There are a few I'd never heard on the radio at all until recently, and now they play them all the time.

I was in Walgreen's about three days ago and I heard "Handle with Care" by The Traveling Wilburys.

I kept listening closer and closer to determine if it would be a good RB song, and while I'd love to play it, there's just too darned many guitars doing too many different things...

The bass and drums work, though, and the vocal part is the real appeal of the song.

Just too darned many guitars...

Been doing that since the announcement. Why do you think Ultimate Setlist is so populated with post?

Pretty much every time I listen to my MP3 player I think one song or another could be pretty good but I never bother suggesting it because it seems like half the suggestions made in the Ultimate Setlist forum get ragged on whether they're good or not. Kinda kills the point of suggesting.

Oh, I love the Traveling Wilburys. How fun would it be to sing Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison (First CD only, RIP), and Jeff Lynne all in one song dose? :O Traveling Wilburys DLC NOW!!!! :D

But, yeah, there hasn't been a song by any of those guys (And their respective bands) on any past GH game, so it may be a licensing issue. :(

I went and requested it anyway.

I'm kind of hoping the Wilburys project was short-lived enough and long enough ago that it just kind of got overlooked. I think Jeff Lynne is the one who actually controls the rights on that one, and there really isn't much ELO that would have worked in an earlier game, except for Don't Bring Me Down.

Which would be cool, too.

Hmm, true point. There still may be hope after all! /me goes to request Traveling Wilburys (And Tom Petty!) too.

GH1 was released when? Nov 8, 2005? Yeah this thread title has been my existence for over 2 years.
