Not so much a request as it is that I've noticed that usually the game animation is spot on except in the cases of the vocalist percussion parts.
Usually the animation is too fast, aside from the part in Mississippi Queen that I just played right now were it surprised me that i finally saw it play on beat which caused me to actually want to make this thread.
Granted I know the vocal percussion is just bonus points not really necessary or as important as the guitars, drums or lipsync, I just think it's something that could be improved on. Any possibility that we might see a patch to the animation to make this as smooth and accurate as some of the other instrument shots?

I've noticed that for the most part the singer plays the cowbell/tambo/claps on the beat. Regardless as to whether the part YOU are supposed to play might be off beat, or 1/4 notes that go into 1/16 notes... it'll just stay on the beat or play 1/8 notes.
Seems to me like it would have taken the coding of an entire seperate engine to make the vocalist react accurately to what your part was... or that they'd only be able to give you simplistic "on beat" cowbell parts.
Not that I wouldn't mind seeing it happen, but I can understand why they didn't exert the effort to do that when there were a plethora of other things to get done before release.

If you want more cowbell then they should put in Everybody's Working for the Weekend by Loverboy.

Glad I could help a little. :)
But I mean not so much that the vocalist has to hit the percussion when you do, just that they match time with how it's supposed to be in the song. If you're getting cues for "tap tap tap taptaptap" the animation shouldnt be "tap.....tap.... tap...." or even "tptptptptptptptp" , If they cant adjust the animation to show them catch the beat you do then atleast those of the song itself.... heck at least catch every other beat I mean if you can get characters to bob their heads so perfectly on beat for every song why would this be so hard?
But that's a question only the programers can answer I guess. I can only go by what I see of the perfect drummer animation or the way the guitarists actually hit every note or the perfect lipsync, it just seems the one thing that's off.
