Im makin this because they(harmonix) said they read this forum, and this game sounds so freakin cool that i must somehow get it, so id love to see some of the following songs on it.
This'll be long, since i dont intend to post again, i just wanted to have a little input.
They might already have been suggested but it would take far to long to read all the threads :P Oh and ill keep it to one song per artist, or this would be much longer than it already is...
Songs that i would love to see, nay SHOULD be on the game :
Slither by Velvet Revolver - its got slash (so of course it has a sweet solo) but the basic tune of the song is awesome as well so it would be great to see it on the game.
Hysteria by Muse - just to give the bassist another song where they have as much importance as everyone else(if not more), and cos the song freakin RULES
Circles by Incubus (or heck, anything cool and rock styles by incubus) because its a cool song that has all instruments making a big impact to how it sounds.
Something by Led Zep - cmon they have tons of great songs, it doesnt have to be stairway
Cant Stop by Red hot chili peppers - not one of their mega hits (as far as i know), but i think its one of their best, and it certainly has great guitar, bass, and drums, so it would go well in the game. However, id be happy if pretty much any chilis song was there
Something by the Smashing Pumpkins - dont care what, as long as its cool. GH3 got cherub rock unfortunately, so i cant suggest that. or can i? if i can, i do :P. F You (an ode to no-one) is pretty cool, geek usa has a good solo, and of course theres the hits like bullet and today... many to choose from!
More Wolfmother - Woman kicked ass on GH2, more would be sweet cool
Songs that id love to see but ill live if theyre not there :
Those who fight further/still more fighting by The Black Mages - hehe its the battle music from FF7, but version by the black mages (a rock band that covers FF songs) is fantastic. Theres no singing but it would make a brilliant bonus track
Some more RATM - cos they rule, and playing killing in the name in GH2 was a highlight for me
Some Tool - this could be difficult, since the only good short one id like to see is Hooker with Penis (obviously not suitable for a younger audience) and the more suitable ones like Lateralus are very long and have large instrumental breaks that would not go with the game so well. But tool are so good, i have to suggest it...
Chop Suey by System of a Down - just a really good song, but i dont mind if its not there.
Juicebox instead of Reptilia by the strokes - having now listened to reptilia, its cool, itll be fun to play, but juicebox kicks the poo out of it and leaves it lying on the ground in pain... oh well, its good to see the strokes there in any case.
Love in an Elevator by Aerosmith - a song that i imagine would be even more fun to play than listen to
Some silly suggestions to finish with :
Bring back TROGDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!! go on you know you want to...
Chipmunk by goldfinger - a deathmetal style version of how much wood can a woodchuck chuck, its awesome. Not very long tho, but meh itd be fun for the singer.
Well, if you get down here, thanks for reading so far, its quite a long post! To harmonix - oh how im looking foward to this game, youve done a ridiculously good job so far (from what has been seen on the gamespot interview) so keep it up!
