So yea...we all wanna play this game...but what better way to play a game that involves singing and guitar and drums than to rock out to Bohemian Rhapsody or Dont Stop Me Now. I mean everyone and i mean everyone loves Queen and especially them 2 songs. Hell..even We Are The Champions. I beg you for the love of god to put a Queen song on here, even if its none of the songs I've mentioned. Only request i have:o

I agree with you that there're countless people who chime in with their wooden nickels whenever someone mentions Queen or anything with a strong opinion behind it... how many of you have actually seen "Godfather III"? But there are some of us with our own opinions who don't like yes (wo)men. I'm one of those. So I'll say that I love Queen and as soon as someone says "me too", I'll ask about their cover of "Welcome to the Black Parade".

Allow me to disagree with you on this one. People may jump on the bandwagon, but they do that no matter who/what you're talking about if it is popular, as Queen was.

True, their #1 hits leave a little to be desired (Bohemian Rhapsody is NOT the be-all and end-all, We Will Rock You sucks, and We Are The Champions leaves a bad taste in your mouth) but they have had a million great tunes that most people don't know.

Take a listen to these tunes and try to tell me that Freddie's vocals and Brian's guitar playing are over-rated:

The Prophet's Song
The Show Must Go On (And remember, Freddie was near death while recording this song!)
Mother Love (This was recorded in the weeks just prior to Freddie's death and was never completed by him, hence the reason Brian takes over vocals on the final verse. His voice is still incredibly strong, despite the fact that he could barely make his way into the studio at the time)

Seven Seas of Rhye is my personal first choice, but there are plenty of good choices like Innuendo, Keep Yourself Alive, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Stone Cold Crazy, I Want It All, and more.

P.S. gh2master. Maybe it's just that some people like music you don't, and you don't have to be brainwashed to like music that some people don't like? Just a crazy thought I'm putting out.

btw, Bohemian Rhapsody would be a bad choice. There's one minute of guitar in five minutes of song, and probably even less bass/rhythm. It'd be fun for vocals, but everybody else would be bored to tears for four minutes.

I heard a few on youtube. Its not making me go buy their album but it shows the band in a new light. Often a band is best when either no one knows about it or most people hate it. Thanks for not putting on Queen fanboy hat tho... i thought that would happen but hey its nice to be surprised.

Its just some bands, e.g. Libertines, Queen's "Hits" etc. that people just jump on the bandwagon, especially such a drugged up band and what a surprise Mercury died of AIDS. I do think that helped a bit.. Nirvana.. I love their stuff but how are they the rock gods people make out.

I suppose I wouldn't mind Queen being in there. Just.. not Bohemian Rhapsody.. thx
