Explain? I dont understand what you mean, 'annoying'... i have no probs with GH1 or 2's buttons.

But i do prefer the PS2 guitar over the 360 one... theyre spaced out more and i like it that way

But yea, everything about GH3 looks annoying. The way they put black stickers over the buttons or whatever. And how when you hit notes, on the screen the button jumps up, instead of the fire animation. It makes it look like you missed a note.

notice as soon as activision got their hands on it they threw in a bunch of extra stuff.. the battle mode imo looks ridiculous, it'd be fun once or twice maybe but please.. I want to play based on skill, not based on random powerups that effectively destroy a lot of the skill involved. Theyre turning it into an arcade game.

I'll get GHIII simply because I have the instruments to play it, and I like music and video games (great combination!!!), so what's $60, right? I might even get the new guitar if it turns out to be okay, however, I'm really digging the design in Rock Band now that I might just pass on the GHIII Guitar altogether.

But indeed, Guitar Hero is no longer a music rhythm game. It's an arcade game. If a game has "boss battles" and "battle mode" that says it all right there.

I definitely hear you. I was literally just complaining about this right now to my co worker lol

In the first GH's you would see fire when you hit a note. If you missed the note, the button would jump up.

NOW, in GH3, the button jumps up if you successfully hit the note! It's going to be really confusing and will take some time getting used to I'm sure.

For the record, I will still be getting the game, but simply for the career mode, to play new songs. And probably co-op online. I have no desire for battle mode. Plus I'm not good enough to go Face-off. I still can't beat Freebird on Expert :( Maybe face-off on hard I guess.

Same here. I'm getting more and more of my friends interested in it, and tell them to buy what they want. My lady friends are all in it for the vocals (Karaoke anyone!?!? :) ), a good few in it for the drums, and my die-hard friends are in it for the whole package. This will give some flexibility in our band(s) and what we play. I think I'll be doing personal weekly lessons when this comes out. One week I'll focus on nothing but drums, then the next week on guitar and then on vocals. Okay, I need to stop as I want this game NOW!

As much as I was looking forward to GHIII, the recent details of RB just puts GHIII in the back seat. I don't even know what songs are coming for GHII. LOL!

What happened to Welcome to the Jungle on RB anyways? I saw the YouTube leak a while back and I keep seeing posts that it's GHIII now. Was that just a demo song? :confused:

Yea that was a leaked demo video of an early version of the game. It's confirmed in GHIII, and because of rights, I doubt we'll see it in Rock Band.

That sucks on Welcome to the Jungle. Why go through all the effort of coding the song, leaking the video (especially when Harmonix was singing it, so it's not like a fake!) only to lose it to the competition? :confused: Oh well, Harmonix will make up for it in spades. I have that feeling!!!
