Are they kidding me with this response? I thought it was well known that this is a hardware issure. BTW, I have the latest update for the game. This is going to be my FOURTH guitar. I have a played enough to realize when it is working and when it's broken.

I'm glad I was able to process the Express RMA this morning. Hopefully, it'll ship fast.

"Hi Michael,

Thank you for contacting us here at Electronic Arts Technical Support. I’m sorry for the difficulty you’re having with Rock Band for the PlayStation 3.

To download the latest update for Rock Band you will need to have an active internet connection. Once the game has detected this internet connection it will prompt you to update the game. The current update will address the "double strum" issue that is occurring with some users.

I hope that the information I have given will be of service with you.

Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts games in the future please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help knowledgebase (http://support.ea.com).

Thanks!

Are you serious? Your fourth guitar?... you've got to be kidding me. I'd at least hope for a better response than that if you've had this much trouble after dropping almost $200 on their game!

Yeah, I can not believe that they are still sending out guitars that have not been modified for the downstrum issue. My first and third guitars had identical failures. It essentially double strums (on downstrums) so any long notes don't hold and you're fan meter starts dropping fast even when your hitting the notes because there's a "fantom" strum

I actually beat the Hard Solo Tour with my 2nd guitar, which was obviously modified to correct the strum issue. However, the buttons sounded broken springs. In retrospect, it worked but.......

All 3 guitars of those guitars had "suspect" overdrive sensitivity. They either activate at anything greater than a horizontal position or you need waive it around like crazy to start it. Inconsistent...and odd.
