I just wanted to take the time to thank you EA. I did receive a faulty drumset when I got the game (red pad didn't register fast hits). I knew by reading the forums I would have issues with my game. But I really didn't worry about it. When my red pad didn't respond, I taped it down and that solved that issue until I decided to get a replacement. My guitar did not register down strums and my bass pedal broke.

After about a month, I decided to go ahead and order a replacement set of drums. I knew orders would be hectic, which is why I waited. I am happy to say that my replacement is 100% flawless. It registers every hit no matter how hard/fast I try. I fixed my guitar myself (a child with a screwdriver and any intelligence could do it), and as far as my broken pedal goes, I just bought one of those metal pedals a forum member is selling on eBay.

I am in no way putting EA on a pedestal. They shipped a faulty product, and were well aware. BUT, they ARE taking responsibility and taking care of us customers. That is all we should ask and expect.

That's nice for you.
I've had a broken guitar out of the box since dec 6th and still have yet to see a replacement and have been told it's another 3-4 week wait. I've spent I don't know how much money on the phone with these people, just getting a run around. And all I've received are empty apologies. No one has offered to make things right by getting me a replacement "right away". It's just "sorry, we screwed up, your guitar will be there in 3-4 weeks".

I'm very unimpressed. two months to replace a broken product when I give them a hold on my credit card is unacceptable. I can't imagine how long it wold take with their "normal delivery option".

So don't praise EA. They are replacing broken products but certainly not as fast as they should and its all because they were greedy and had to meet the holiday deadline.

I placed my order for replacement of my guitar (the down strum thing) on 12/31/07. I received my replacement yesterday (01/02/08!)! I shipped out my old one to EA this morning. Thank you very much, EA, for the smooth transaction.

No problems yet. I used the express method. Perhaps you all are doing something wrong?

I've done 2 replacements via the warranty website and have had my replacement within 3 to 4 days (express option of course). I'm wondering if the vast majority of people that are reporting problems with the process (i.e. - long shipping times) are calling the EA support line.

I have called and they told me they THINK it had shipped but they weren't sure and that the tracking number was never scanned in.

Well obviously it never shipped. I think they must hire high school dropouts and felons.

i used the standard RMA option because i can wait and thought i wanted the instant satisfaction, i knew it wasn't that important to me. it took a little longer, from 12/14 - 1/2, but that's okay with my it's my christmas break from college so nothing really to do. I was very satisfied with the response i got from EA, i never had to call, only simply talk to them via support website maybe 3 times. I'm sorry everyone else hasn't been as lucky as me, it really is an amazing game

Well I think they are mostly shafting Canadians. But I think even some Americans are getting screwed now because the after Xmas rush has likely led to a large increase in return requests.

I'm glad I have a GHIII guitar, but I still would like to play with 4 people and a bass guitarist.

This still may be the worst hardware launch ever/
