I'm new to the 360, but we ran into some issues last night trying to play over Live. On my side was my wife and me, on the other another couple. We couldn't talk or hear them at first, then set up a chat session and switched to cellphone headsets and it worked, but the sound was fuzzy. Also, only one of us on each side (the profile under which we were communicating) could use a mic; the "guest" profile couldn't do anything. Questions:
1. Are we doing something obviously wrong?
2. Is the mic communication always fuzzy/weak?
3. Do you have to set up a separate "chat" session to communicate? (So, you invite to the Rock Band session, and also have to invite to the chat session?)
Thanks in advance from a Live newbie.

No, you're not doing anything wrong.
I can't comment on the fuzzy sounding connection, as I'm having to do the same thing as you in that my headset adapters to connect my 360 headset to the peripherals don't work, so I'm using an old Plantronics Halo 2 headset (which doesn't need the adapter) to work.
As for you and your wife talking, I'm afraid that isn't supported. If she's logged in as a guest to your account, she's not going to be able to talk. Only you will be able to.

Thanks, Batman. (Did I just write that?) :)
So for her to talk, she'd have to log in under her profile? I think that's impossible while I'm logged in under mine, but I'm probably missing something. I'll try again tonight.
