MULTIPLE Online Issues (XBox 360)

I am having all manner of issues with my online account, both in-game and on rockband.com, including:

When I attempt to look-up my score on the leaderboards in-game it tells me that I have to play the song to be ranked. Even though I have played it numerous times in my career. This holds true for both the solo and band rankings.
My online profile does not list the band I created (and yes, when I created the band I made sure it had a unique name). Moreover, when I try to search for my band it returns no results (further enforcing the fact that there aren't any band with the same name out there). However, we've been playing as a band for over a week.
My online profile lists old characters that I may have played as once just to try out various instruments, but subsequently deleted from my profile in the game.
The character details associated with my profile that do exist are extremely out of date, by at least 5 days.
When I try to look at my personal results on rockband.com, I get a server error.


Now I'm aware that there are multiple issues currently with not only rockband.com, but X-Box Live itself, but any guidance as to how to resolve one or more of these issues would be great. Furthermore, if the answer to these issues is, "We're working on it.", that's fine. But an assurance that these problems are not on my end and an estimate as to when they will be resolved is most appreciated.

did you link your profile to you xbox live accont, that could have alot to do with it.

Ick, that sucks man.
I do know that Xbox live has been on the fritz now for a few days. A lot of people that have been playing Halo 3 and COD4 have been complaining about it. And I saw some of it yesterday when I played H3.
If it is RB, I'm sure HMX will work on it. If it's Live . . . god only knows when it will get fixed. You are supposed to be able to go on xboxlive.com somewhere and see if it is up and running, but I can't find it anywhere LOL.
Best of luck to getting it fixed though.

Yes. Just to clarify, I did link to my XBox Live account without any problem.

Hey all, I am having the exact same problems. The website isn't updating my data. I also have my account linked. All data about my characters are old and my band isn't showing up either. Also when I try to see my rank on the leaderboards of this website, I get a server error. When I'm playing the game (XBOX360) my scores usually won't update until about 20 mins after I have played the song. Very strange behavior indeed.

On a related note, in XboxLive! I can't invite anyone to a game. When I do and they accept the invite it doesn't join them. Help here please? Anyone? Thank you.

I'm having similar issues to the original poster - specifically character data being old, and the server timeouts on "my rank" link.

I'm not sure if it's related, but my data (cash earned, new/old characters, etc) seems to have stopped updating at (approximately?) the same time I renamed one of my characters. Possibly this is cooincidental, but I figured I'd throw it out there... My "band" was created before the character rename, and progress up until that point seems accurate. Haven't had any friends over to jam since then, so I'm not sure if that would update or not.

This may seem like a weak blanket excuse for the posters but Xbox Live has been having complications for the past two weeks or so. Intermittent downtime, trouble downloading content, its been nearly impossible to retrieve gamer tags, that probably has a lot more to do with your Online troubles than Rock Band does.

Xbox Live is acting strange, but I feel like it has more to do with this rock band web site. Xbox Live isn't causing this site to crash whenever I look at the Leaderboards. Also this site is running very slow. I just hope something gets worked out.

Title: Rank Not Found?

Rank Not Found? Why does this continue to show up when I have completed 30+ Expert Guitar songs(10 FC's). Is there some section for Solo Rank I am missing? I see people say they are this rank solo, but where?

I can see my rank on the game but this site keeps saying Rank Not Found or I get a Timeout Error?

I am obvisiously connected to Live, playing in Solo Career, yet nothing.
It doesn't mean anything except self pride and bragging rights, but wtf. Am I doing something wrong?

I have only had the game a week but this site cannot be that slow to Update?

My BWT takes more than 24 hrs to update Fans and Such. Is this the Normal?Any help would be obliged.

I plan to be an avid member of this community if things would just work properly. Hell I still have bands linked to my name that aren't even on my Xbox anymore. Why?

I can tell you one thing, this site gets the 504 - Gateway error waaaay to much. I work with web pages and my boss would freak if that was going on, so I assume HMX is working on it.

i dont think the site is updating at all because i linked my accts. over a week ago when my band had 513,000 fans. we now have 689,000 fans and the website still says 513000. there are a couple other things that we have changed as well and they have not been updated on the site. hopefully this is worked out soon.:confused::mad:

Yeah I've been having these problems too. The site just takes extremely long to update. Sometimes the updates seem to be out of sequence too.

Saturday December 29

I made my band with a new character, got a few fans
My friends came over later, made new characters to use and we got even more fans (at the very least 300k).
Later that night I made a band motto for us and the next day I actually added their characters to the band roster.


Tuseday January 1

The first character I made for the band and the band itself were finally added to the site with 0 fans.
A few minutes later it added a few fans.
A few minutes later it added more fans again (bringing the total to about 5.7k)

Wednesday January 2

The site added my friends characters to my character list, and our band motto, yet it's still stuck at about 5.7k fans.


Hasn't added their names to the roster yet. Still waiting to see if they do that and finally raise our fan number to 600k, which is what we have right now.

Let me see if I can clear this up a bit.

First of all we have noticed some accounts being mad slow in updating. I've forwarded it onto the web team and they think they know what is going on and are trying to fix it (as well as several other bugs...big launch and all that.)

Second of all - if you delete a band or character off your Xbox or PS3 that WILL NOT delete it from your account here. For leaderboard and ranking purposes bands and characters need to be permanent on the servers. As such, once they are made they come here and they stay no matter what you do on your console. Is this awesome? Probably not. Is it going to change any time soon? Doubtful. This is tied into why if you make a band, then delete the band, you can't recreate a band wit the same name (since that band already existed deleted or no).

when I try and invite a friend to play quickplay with me or any online mode he gets the invite an press's it but then nothing happens, same thing on my end, theres no joining process.

After my original post, I did notice that I am showing up on the in-game leaderboards for both solo and band. But not for ALL of the songs. It seems there is a threshold for how many people are listed on a leaderboard for any given song and for some songs I do not make the cut.

What makes it VERY confusing, and I STRONGLY recommend the dev team provide a fix for this in a future update, is the message you get if you are unranked. It says something like "You must play this song to be ranked." This is very misleading because I HAVE played the song many times. The message should be something like "You are currently unranked for this song. Keep practicing." Or something like that.

With that proplem out of the way, I can live with old characters persisting, but I'm still getting 504 errors, my band isn't showing up, and my profile hasn't updated in 5 days. I continue to give the benefit of the doubt. Launching a community over the holidays compounded by the fact XBox Live was on the fritz warrants as such. But looking at the issues I'm having, I don't really see how they can be blamed on XBox Live as is becoming popular to do. They seem more on the rockband.com server side of things. Hopefully, things will stabilze sooner than later.

I'm having the same problem also. Hooked into live, character linked on the site, but the band and the scores don't show up anywhere. I even got a message stating that our quote wasn't classy. Still nothing. I've been hooked into live since 12/27 and no band anywhere.

There should really be faq out on how to do this. Does every character in the band need to be an Xbox Live account in order for the band to show? Does every person who's a part of the band need to be playing for the scores to show? It gets really frustrating to be playing so many songs and having nothing show up. I'd love to test my mettle against the other bands.

Also, the Leaderboards in the game are downright impossible to look though. No search, and it scrolls extremly slow.

That is all. I'd love to see a solution to this.

:p I have a question When we first started our band my youngest daughter was the singer but due to difficulty with songs I kind of inherited the job and my character finished all the songs and went to the Hall of Fame but when I linked my site with live.com it brought up her name instead of mine and all her information. Do you know how to change that?
