If there were a leaderboard for RMA's I bet I'd top it. 6 and counting, fans!

8.
3 broken pedals and 3 broken guitars. But EA shipped me an empty box for one guitar by accident. The actual express replacement instead of the empty box needed a new RMA, and then that express replacement guitar was DOA, so that went back immediately and I got a new RMA for its replacement. I'm still waiting on that one.

Wow! I just did my first on New Years Day, the massive use of the guitar tore it up. The Guitar Hero 2 controller didn't have any problems keeping up with the playtime. I love the weight and feel of the RB guitar better, but it looks like I might as well pick up a GH controller since the RB one seems like crap.
Don't have the some option with the drums, but since we are only at Medium (Alesia) and Easy (my self) I doubt we will have trouble with that until we really start using it. Its sad that I am looking forward to RB2 just in the hopes that the crappy controllers will be improved for the next edition... great game though.

You've got the patience of Job. All told I'm up to 2.25 hours of phone time with the customer (lip) service folks.
Who knew Red Octane was the better half of the GH marriage?!?

3 so far.
broke the bass pedal in the first day the game was out, ordered another one, and then modded the current broken one with a piece of wood on the top (still use it to this day). took the new bass pedal, and swapped drums for good measure (figured the drums were wearing down, might as well use something since i didnt really need the replacement anymore). kept the 2nd base pedal for double bass. broke that pedal, did the same thing, sept this time i shipped the pedal back and just put the wood on the new pedal before i used it. Then just ordered a new guitar today after it somehow getting demolished new years eve... :)

That's the funniest thing I've read all day, considering that when my Strat broke I got a new one in two days that has now worked flawlessly for over a month of heavy play, but I am stuck with a Les Paul that occasionally stops registering the blue or orange fret, and I can't return it because RO directs you to return it to the retailer, who refuses to accept the return because there is opened software in the box.
Yeah, they're really nailing the hardware and customer service there.

Re: Thrashdragon:
That's quite a loop they've got you in there but I'll bet you this:
Once you've got a working Les Paul you'll be all done with it. I'm talking 6 guitars!
6!
If I don't have working guitars and some Who's Next real soon I hope these hamfisted troglodytes get stuck writing code for Boogie 2.

Bump cuz HMX sucks hard.
They sent out what they knew to be inferior guitars. When the douche on the other line says they're up to 4th generation in 8-9 weeks time you know something's fishy.
Now I can't even get RMA's 5 & 6 set up until I get a call back. WTF?!
On that note: Has anyone dug up any info on what might make a new-gen guitar identifiable?

Well, you moddy-mod types surprised me today. You let a thread divulging the ugly truth sit on the real board for a few hours this afternoon.
Now I find myself back in the Tech Support ghetto.
In the short two months since release I've probably spent more time with Harmonix/EA than with Rock Band. The escalation team's awful nice but they never actually say anything.
Is 4th gen the magic guitar that actually works more than a few weeks?
Mightn't you garner something other than ill will if you were to actually admit you blew it? And hard?

You can't take that away HMX!
Also, please link the TOS so I can read for myself that I was in violation.

Noted.
And what you did was post internal phone numbers which violates privacy rules in TOS.

Reading this response in relation to my OP really shows how much you care about your customer's feelings.

but I can't get a straigh answer regarding TOS?
I found the link at the bottom for Terms of Use and did a Ctrl+F for phone and only found language pertaining to advertising/purchases via mobile phones.
I click the link for Privacy Policy and am rewarded with: "The page you are trying to access does not exist."
Not only can you not release working peripherals, whether at launch or through RMA, but you can't even run a message board.
Well, I'm off to peruse the class-action thread.

Oh come on. Everyone makes mistakes.
I found something for you in the TOU (No TOS, there is no service here unless Harmonix is into providing ISP service now)

This thread is neither constructive nor in any way something CS can help you with. Please keep threads on topic. I understand you are frustrated and upset but spamming the boards and trying to test the moderators is no way to handle it and can result in banning for a number of days.
