I ordered for the replacement guitar after having problems with my original guitar packaged with the game with it double strumming when I would alternate strum. And the OD goes off immediately when I got it.
So I got my replacement yesterday evening and I take it out to compare to my current guitar and while it does register strumming alternatively better (assuming it is the magnetic one) the buttons are.. different. They are loud and clackity- my solo buttons, more specifically the blue solo button is really loud when pushed almost like I can hear the spring inside the button every time I push it. My blue button got stuck a couple times in a song. I needed to pause it and manually pull it upward.
The body of the guitar obviously isn't new-- when put in the light you can easiliy see light scratches all along the bottom, it actually has 2 round green stickers on it, so I am guessing this guitar has been passed around quite a bit before it got to me.
So what do I do? I love the neck buttons of my original guitar given it hasn't had much use, but I can't alternate strum with it. And love the strum bar of my replacement but the neck buttons obviously have some wear. The tilt sensor is somewhat better.
What do I do?

EAXViolet said that (I think) she's looking into the issue of people getting refurbished/used guitars. You were supposed to get a new guitar, not a refurbished one, so you might want to PM her when she's online? Just a thought. I just had to send in for a new one myself, as my strum bar doesn't work on the downstrokes and the OD goes off automatically too, and the tech guy on the phone said I would be getting a brand new one, so I really hope that's the case and that I don't get a used one like most of the other people that have posted on this tech site... :)

I would direct you to my experiences which are very similar to your own (my RMA guitar was good except the orange key worked 1/2 the time). I enacted a solution which made my ideal guitar and didn't require any more RMA activity.
