We need seperate forums

I run a few online discussion boards and feel that having extra forums helps clean things up a bit and makes the board easier to find what you need......due to there being some differences in the game with each console, i feel this board needs a PS3 forum as well as an Xbox360 forum.....i just hate researching a subject only to find out my answer was for a PS3 and visa versa.........It would just be easier to click on the PS3 forum and make a thread there and get answers from PS3 owners........Please bump this thread if you feel the same way! :-)

Agreed! But can we also please get a PS2 forum? I realize all the cool kids with their fancy modern consoles dismiss the PS2 version, but for those of us still stuck in the Clinton era RB is easily the best game ever released for the console.

Plus, there are more similiarities between the games (like 99% of the game is the exact same) than differences.

sadly it looks like trolls from either side will start console wars whether there is or ISNT a seperation of forums.

We probably won't be setting it up that way just for our own sanity's sake at the moment but may in the future. As of now what we will do is continue banning any person who thinks starting/continuing a console war is a good idea and then lock those threads.

There is no need to divide the community based on the predjudices of a select few. If a topic requires console-specific context, simply notate that in the thread subject.

You work on multiplatform games. system wars are all about getting what the other person dosent, usually in the form of support. form the looks of things the latest trouble resulted from free exclusive songs being released for the 360, someone will eventually see this as playing favorites (some PS3 owners already feel a little slighted over certain missing features like voice chat) so seeing things like this gets them riled up and then the 360-faithful want to defend their machine and they only ever seem to do that by bashing the competition the next thing you know you have a flame war.

As long as there are multiple choices for game consoles there are always going to be flame wars because the more support a system has the more likely it is to get exclusives or extras, both sides will aways want to be able to claim they put their money behind the better horse. and try to convince other's to follow their cause in order to build support and defeat the opposition.

Even in Multiplatform land you're going to see some of that leak in when one side seems to get something the other side didn't.

The problem is what it always is in these situations: there are people in both camps who are whiners, there are people in both camps who can't do anything but declare the supremacy of their camp, and there are those who try to understand the other side's perspective.

And most people are actually a combination of all three.

What we need is for people to make a greater effort to be in the group that understands the other side's perspective because, let's face it, this is one of those problems that doesn't go away just because you step on it at every opportunity and give the impression that there's no difference, here.

I don't want to single anyone out, but it sure seems like the console wars have only really caught fire again since the new batch of users arrived with the Christmas bundles. I'm guessing they just haven't been around here long enough to understand the approach that the moderators take to console discussions.

Even this relatively simple thread has a few posts in it that could easily trigger Consoul Warz XXIII: Rize of the Moorawns.
