So, I was thinking about vocalist gender.

There are a few songs that are duets with one vocalist of each gender. It'd be neat if these songs existed in Rock Band and noticed the gender of the vocalist avatar, and had the player sing the appropriate part.

The first two songs that come to mind are "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" (Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks) and "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" (Meatloaf & Ellen Foley).

Another neat thing would be to have two versions of a song available, when there are two well-known versions with vocalists of different genders. The top song that comes to my mind in this category is "Proud Mary" (with great versions by Credence Clearwater Revival and Tina Turner -- I'd download both).

It might be neat to also have songs with alternate vocal tracks depending on your avatar, but I'm not sure how well that could work. Something like, if it's a male vocalist, play the "Iron Maiden" version, and if female, the "Iron Maidens (http://www.theironmaidens.com/)" cover version. Male, "Led Zeppelin", female, "Zepparella (http://www.zepparella.com/)" cover version.

Well you would be able to choose i dont think it could choose for you hell sometimes i get confused when a woman whos been smoking for 40 years talks to me.

Gimmie Shelter is already on there and it is increably funny to watch that guy with the lumberjack shirt and the beard sing the "RAPE MURDER" female sung part

I love the song Gimme Shelter but it's confusing as hell!

I know I should probably be singing the Mick Jagger part of it but the female vocal is so overpowering I can't tell if I'm even in the right ballpark. I think that particular song suffers from a little too much enthusiasm in trying to cater to the vocalist and ends up giving them too much to try and follow. There are clearly two distinct singers, why should I be expected to sing both parts? Especially when the "Rape murder" part is so way out of the main vocalist's range?

Actually my solution is since we already have the vocal track separated from the instrumental part, why not just raise the octave level for a female avatar singing a male lead vocal or lower it for female sung songs that are performed by a male avatar. It's not like we dong have the technology to do it convincingly.
