So me and my buddies are playing Rock Band last night. We had gone really far in the game in the few hours we were playing and we were gonna call it a night after this last set. It was to get the PR Firm where you play 'Won't Get Fooled Again' as the last song. So we were playing through, rocking the four songs before the last one. On top of everything else that night with Rock Band, we were all in a great mood. We get to the last song and we're cruising through without any major problems. But then at the very end of the song our drummer fails out (I don't blame him; that song's impossible :p). Me (I play bass) and my guitarist figure that we will be able to get through without having to worry about saving him because we were so close to finishing.

Five notes left.

Four notes left.

Three notes left.

Two notes left.

And right before we're about to hit that last note, we failed.

I couldn't believe it. I kinda just sat down in a chair and stared at the '99% Completed' on the screen. Any drive that was going throughout the night was killed by one song, one note even! Our drummer was too tired to try again after playing a full night of Rock Band and we had to leave anyway, so we packed up our belongings and left his house with failure on our minds. :(

Anyone else have any "Ouch, that hurts" moments they wanna share? :D

When I was working on expert drums I was having some trouble with Dead On Arrival. After failing hard for an hour or so something clicked and I manged to fail my way through the song. At the end I was practicing the parts I screwed up on while the song was transitioning to the results screen when all of a sudden I fail. Turns out since I was hitting pads with no notes I crashed before the song officially ended. When the '100% Complete' popped up on the screen I nearly broke my sticks.

No pun intended but it fits pretty well. My friends were on guitar, while i was on drums. They were on each side of me. My friends are pretty good but not experts like we were playing. I was on drums and doing terrible. Right at the end of Cherub Rock they were goofing off a little and we were going to fail so I did a double drum stick into sacktap moment. We wound up failing at ninty something percent.

Hmmm... One time I dropped a stick (that's a lie, I've done it a lot more than one time) during Detroit Rock City, but when I reached down to grab it, I hit my face on this tv tray table thing that was next to me. That hurt.
