Well, it finally happened. My drums have died. I got the game when it came out and became addicted to the drums. I play drums about 95% of the time when I am playing the game. I play almost every day for at least an hour.
Two days ago i noticed what I thought was a perforation in my yellow and blue drum heads. When i inspected further I realized they had cracked. They still registed all hits so I just figured I would keep playing until they died.
Last night my fiance and I were playing BWT and had unlocked the Hall of Fame set. We started going through that 8 song set and during Enter Sandman my yellow drum completed caved in at the center. Ugh. We made it through the song and before we continued I pulled off the yellow head and readjusted the broken pieces to make the surface of the drum flat again.
We continued on with the HOF set and I started noticing the yellow pad not registering some hits. By the last song (Won't Get Fooled Again) the yellow drum was working about 60% of the time. I made it through the song fortunately.
I put in a rma for new drums last night, hopefully they get here quickly! It sucks though cause I love playing the drums. Guess I'll have to go back to guitar for awhile.....:(
