PS3 Rockband Patch

Okay,

I have been dealing with all kinds of issues with the Rockband game. I love it, don't get me wrong, but I'm tired of the issues. I wanted to take advantage of the downloadable songs, so I hooked up my PS3 to the internet to download some songs. I had no problems purchasing the songs, but this update that Rockband requires me to have in order to play the song keeps screwing up my PS3. The update gets to 100% installed, but then it freezes. I left it on that screen overnight and nothing changed. But suddenly my PS3 won't play any games, dvds, etc. So I have to restore settings on my PS3 and start all over. I have done this about 4 times and I keep getting the same results!! I'm frustrated, out $10, and still no way of getting this to work.... Can anyone offer up some advice?

That sucks. There must be some sort of tech support number you can contact for the PS3 no? They should be able to help you out.

I would suguest calling Sony's tech support, this is the first time I have heard of this issue from anyone, I know that my PS3 works fine with RB. I hope that you find the answers you need, sorry to hear that you are having troubles.

I know it would fustrate me as well....

It is extremely frustrating, especially since Sony tells me it must be a problem with Rockband, and that I should contact them.

Have you tried downloading and installing the patch before reloading the song? I'm passing this on to QA but we haven't seen this issue as of yet.

I'm having a similar problem. I can't even get the patch to load fully. It locks up part way through and i have to cancel.

What patch is this?
Is this something new that was released last night? I haven't been prompted for any patches....
Can someone post up a link to the patch 'fix' list or so?
