View Full Version : Stop Music Fascism Now!!!

Metal_Ninja

I've wasted my breath on many of these forums, and may very well continue to do so.

THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC PLAGUING THESE BOARDS. MUSIC FASCISM! People cutting down other people's tastes, beliefs, politics, and just generally being *******S about this game. As I have said before: this is a game about people coming together and grooving off of the music we connect with... or don't, but still want to have fun with. We all want our tastes in this game, and by bashing someone's taste (ON ANY OF THESE THREADS) you are being a MUSIC FASCIST!!! MUSIC IS ONE OF THE GREATEST GIFTS OF MANKIND AND SHOULD BE HERALDED AS SUCH!!! MUSIC FASCISTS DON'T BELONG ON THIS SITE, NOR IN THIS GAME!!!

I'm metal, I love punk, I love playing old songs I nearly forgot about. Some people love indie and emo, it's not my thing, so I don't bother them. I am now tired of people bashing each other's tastes. Agreeing on a song is one thing, to whine about the music someone else wants their Rock Band experience to embody is different, it's stupid. This is getting old, it's completely lame, your wasting Nerd Energy on it, STOP IT!

THIS IS OUR GREATEST TOOL! These forums could be the only thing that gets some of our music onto the game. My music sings enough about hate and br00tality, lets keep it in the songs. ADD TO OUR LISTS, ONLY POSERS CUT PEOPLE DOWN!

I want you all to respond with your suggestions for song, no matter what genre, no matter what you like. RIGHT HERE, WHATTYA WANT?!

To the OP: I commend you for trying, but this is the internet, people are going to ***** at each other behind the mask of anominity (sp? not that I care). Not to mention taste conflicting with the commercial success of a band and their actual skill and sound compared to other bands. Music is a business, and people's "taste" makes it such. A prime example of this is Avenged Sevenfold, who I personally cannot stand, and who are basically a polarized band - you either love them or hate them. They recently became superfamous thanks to the media. However, 90% of the A7X fans I've met are preteen girls who swoon over the idiotic fashions of the band (aviator glasses are for pilots, not for rock stars - notable exception for Bruce Dickinson since he's both a rock star and a pilot). But it's okay. Most of the bands that are considered "crap" and who people with good taste are called "music fascists" over will be forgotten in the next few years. Bands that are worthwhile will still be around - Dream Theater, Opeth, Rush, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth are all good and are all still around. Coincidence, or suprisingly high number of people with good taste supporting good bands? You be the judge.

For those who don't understand the point of my post: People with good taste generally listen to good bands that have been famous a while and can prove their worth. People with poor taste generally listen to the next big thing (how many kids new about Green Day before American Idiot?), then quickly move on. Don't believe me? Listen to a local rock station and see how many times a day they play the new single by Example Emoish Bandname Here. It'll probably be a lot. And after a few weeks/months, they'll hardly ever play it. Hmm...

Oh, protip: If it's on MTV, chances are it's probably crap. There are exceptions, of course...

Leni,

Appreciate you responding. When I say Music Fascist, I refer to people who attack one person's ideal setlist for the sake of attacking another person's taste, preferences and culture. There are tons of bands I'd love to see on this thing that I know have no shot in hell of getting on here (Cannibal Corpse). But I would like some reflection of what would make an awesome addition to the game without some dickhole having to cut down a bunch of friends and audiophiles. These people can be into any genre, not just what's popular, but of anything.

I'm as antagonistic as the next person, but at a certain point, lets get our ADD under ****ing control.

To everyone else,

FOR F**K'S SAKE, it's not like this is Halo or Call Of Duty. HELL, GUITAR HERO 3 IS THE MORE COMPETITIVE OF THE HMX GAMES! I know none of us will ever see eye to eye, but no reason we can't hate each other in a civilized manner. Several bands I can't stomach have been suggested on this board, but guess what, I tolerate their existence and your artists' creative expression. Please, show the same courtesy, and stop trying to act cool in front of us other nerds. Guess what, you're f**king sad, no one has ever received any prize for looking cool on a forum board.

Furthermore, keep this going as a means of suggesting songs, treat this as a haven of free thought.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY : Bleed For Me
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY : Clean My Wounds
IN THIS MOMENT : Daddy's Falling Angel
DEVILDRIVER : These Fighting Words
BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME - Selkies: The Endless Obsession
HATEBREED - I Will Be Heard

I want this on Rock Band. They may have to edit the fiddle part out, or keep it in to give the guitar player a rest since he will have to play the guitar, banjo, and mandolin parts. This song would smoke in Rock Band (with the exception of no lyrics...that right there might kill it). :)

Haha a banjo would be sick to have in the game, but that'd have to be a lot of hammer notes... banjos are known for being, uh... fast paced? I dunno' how to say it! haha All I can say to that is... SORE FINGERS AHHH!!

But for my picks I'd have to say any real modern rock/heavy rock/metal!
Something like; Breaking Benjamin (tough), Three Days Grace, Strata (good luck drummers), Tool (good luck... anyone at all!), System of a Down, Chevelle, Rammstein...

Yea, I can think of a lot that I'd love...

Some may be a popular fad on the radio, but I for one genuinely like the music... The radio playing it makes me dislike some songs... -.-

Good post.

Horse the Band. I just went to go see those guys live. One of the craziest shows i have been to. Cutsman is a good song IMO.

Some bands to contribute:

Ignite (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20531)

Some more Coheed and Cambria. Some songs like:

Everything Evil
2113
Gravemakers and Gunslingers

I would love to see

Santeria by Sublime
Jumper by 3rd Eye blind
Anything by Barenaked Ladies
some Slayer maybe?

I would love a lot of death metal, I almost don't think they will do it because they don't want the singers to hurt themselves doing growls or screaming....

Excellent thread, sir.

If I could pick any song to be put in Rock Band, I'd have to go with Embody the Invisible by In Flames. Melodic death metal needs exposure.

Great post I for one am tired of people calling Avenged Sevenfold an "emo band" I am a 19 year old male that listens to all kinds of bands that have been around for awhile like Metallica, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Pantera... and the like. I think they have potential to be one of the great bands that stay around for awhile.

As for one song I'd like to have in Rock Band, well it's hard to pick one so I'll say my top 3.

Avenged Sevenfold - either Afterlife (it's got good drums, guitar solo, and singing) or Warmness on the Soul (I know it's slow with not much guitar/drums at the beginning, but when they kick in I could see it being fun on Rock Band, plus I like the singing.)

In This Moment - Prayer (Great all around song)

Five Finger Death Punch - The Bleeding.

Okay okay so that's four songs, but it's hard to choose.

I totally agree that people seem to want similar kinds of music for this game and aren't open to things being made into DLC that they don't want to play. I would LOVE to play some folk, jazz, and blues on this thing. However I only seem to read people wanting rock, metal, or alternative/pop/indie/emo whatever. Now I'm not against those types of music, but I just feel like there's so many songs that would be fun to play, some slow and simple, some fast and complex. This game is about appealing to a large base of people of varying musical tastes and playing ability. I love watching my friends play and having a good time but I really feel like some of the people I would like to play with feel that their musical tastes aren't represented in what's offered... so far anyways. But regardless I agree more civility is needed on teh internetz. People say "it's the internet get used to it" but I disagree. I don't think we should say "well I'll never meet this person, now's my chance to be a huge *******!". Anyways, hope EA has the sense to add all kinds of different genres to the game... especially jazz :)

You're putting your opinions on what is good, versus what you don't like (considering it to be nothing more than trendy crap)...which is the exact example of what this thread is about.

Stop trying to mask it.

Honestly, I could care less about prog rock, I don't think it's good, the same with jam bands, but if that's what you're into, why should I have to let you know that I think you have horrible taste in music? Why not just let you enjoy your music?

Great post, let me jot down a little list in support

AC/DC- Back in Black
Aerosmith- Dream On
Alkaline Trio- Time to Waste
Bad Religion- Infected
The Beatles- Revolution
blink-182- What's My Age Again?
Bon Jovi- Livin' on a Prayer
Brand New- Jesus Christ
Bruce Springsteen- Thunder Road
The Clash- London Calling
Coheed and Cambria- A Favor House Atlantic
Eagles- Hotel California
Foo Fighters- Everlong
Green Day- Minority
Guns 'N Roses- Paradise City
Incubus- Pardon Me
Iron Maiden- The Trooper
Jimmy Eat World- Sweetness

The Killers- Mr. Brightside
Killswitch Engage- The Arms of Sorrow
Led Zeppelin- Kashmir
Lynard Skynard- Free Bird
Modest Mouse- Ocean Breathes Salty
My Chemical Romance- The Ghost of You
Neil Young- My, My, Hey, Hey (Out of the Blue)
The Offspring- The Kids Aren't Alright
Paul McCartney- Maybe I'm Amazed
Pearl Jam- Jeremy
Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here
Queen- Bohemian Rhapsody
Red Hot Chili Peppers- By The Way
Rise Against- Prayer of the Refugee

Senses Fail- NJ Falls into the Atlantic
Sick Puppies- All The Same
Straylight Run- Hands in the Sky (Big Shot)

System of a Down- Violent Pornography
Taking Back Sunday- A Decande Under the Influence
Tool- Ænima
The Used- I Caught Fire
Velvet Revolver- Fall to Pieces
30 Seconds to Mars- From Yesterday

I only put one song from each of those bands, there are plenty of more bands and dozens of songs from some of those above, but I figured that was enough.

Obviously I dabble in every genre that encompasses rock, and I agree, we should all try and respect each other's tastes and maybe even give them a try, who knows, maybe that "emo" song may end up on your iPod after seeing how amazing it is on guitar or drums, or how deep the vocals are.

Well for starters, this game is called Rock Band not Jazz Band. Don't get me wrong, I myself love jazz too. Many rock artists use techniques in their playing that derived from jazz techniques. But overall its Rock Band not Jazz Band so it wouldn't work. I mean technically jazz fusion would work with Rock Band but through and through its jazz not rock. Plus, in traditional jazz, there is hardly ever a guitarist or singer. Same goes for all the people who want rap in the game.

If a band can be considered Rock it should be an option for ROCK BAND. While I would never tell someone their taste sucks that is probably the one specific constraint I'd put on selection aside from the requirement that a song have something for all four instruments to do.

If the demand is there I would expect Harmonix to actually Develop JAZZ BAND or even MARCHING BAND for that matter but for the time being we have this game to consentrate on.

With that said unless you can absolutely say a band is NOT rock in any shape or sense of the word SHUT THE FNCK UP. This is a forum for people who like their music period, it shouldnt be a place where you have to deal with either an elitist dueshebag who thinks he knows music better than everyone else or even stupid brats that whine about how unfair the world is or what ever it is the other side seems to think they're doing. Regardless of which type of music style you like, if it's rock it should be safe to discuss it here without having to deal with dickless tards who want to shoot down someone to make themselves feel big because their own life sucks.

And Yes I'm CERTAIN that's why you idiots do it. Trying to make other people feel like as much garbage as you feel like by trashing something you THINK you have some clue on. just because you downloaded a bunch of CDs off of a Bittrorent that have guitars in them and you checked wikipedia to learn the lyrics dosent make you an expert on what people should like so stop acting like your opinion is any better than someone elses.

Someone makes a suggestion you dont like go make your own god damn suggestion and hope you;re granted the courtesy to like what you like and that some other jack hole dosent come over to crap in your thread.

--snip--

\m/

Thanks for the posting! Well said! I agree with you. I think that everyone has their own version of "good music". I know I do, but I also learned to respect other's opinions on music as well. If somebody is very passionate about music, then that's their opinion and their's only. No need to flame others! It's not like they're some ****ing elitist and the rest of us are completely wrong about these bands that they can't stand. Geez, I see crap like that everyday here in America -- if you're a democrat, there's always some ******* republican that's going to crap on you just because you have a differing point of view (and vice-versa -- well, maybe in a less harsh manner). Oh, why did I even have to go there...

Ummm, rock on!!!

Props on the post. But I also have to agree with some of the others. This is the internet. People are dumba**es. Probably over half of them. No need to try to argue sensibly with the idiots, you just gotta ignore them and focus on the ones that you can actually talk to.

I would love it if people could accept that I like MCR just as I accept that they like Iron Maiden. It's just different styles of music.

I would've picked something from War All the Time personally, but still....maybe there is some hope for these boards after all. I didn't know anyone else even KNEW thousandfootkrutch. Awesome.

What a great post. Feel free if you agree to add my to your buddy list. Flyleaf is awesome, and I would love to see in the future, more Christian Rock offered for DLC.

Some of these bands have already been mentioned. Very impressive.
Skillet
Disciple
P.O.D
Flyleaf
Fireflight
Thousand Foot Krutch
Anberlin
Switchfoot
and..................Relient K

On a side note, do these post really matter? Does anybody from Harmonix really care about what the people want? Are they really going to step out of their comfort zone and work with bands that they may not be familiar with, or will they continue working with bands that they already have relationships with?

Here is a novel idea.....
GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!!!

Actually though, I would have to say that it wouldn't have to be traditional jazz. They could do some pretty crazy stuff perhaps with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, those bass parts would be the sickest, hardest thing yet...although the guitar would probably have to be a banjo...and i guess you'd have to figure out how to convert Futureman's drumitar/one handed drumset playing into some form of a drum part for Rock Band. But still, I'm all for having genres like Rap or Jazz or other stuff in Rock Band; I myself consider Metal to be its own genre as opposed to a subgroup of Rock, so if Metal can be in, I see no reason other genres wouldn't make it in as well.

I'm sorry, I'm a tolerable person, but when it comes to people listening to Emo Rock/Bad Modern Pop Rock, Bad Modern Mainstream Rap/R&B, Nu-Metal, and Bad Modern Pop, I can't stand it.

Well in real life I don't care, but on internet forums I let go. I am not intolerant of music. Just a few terrible genres that happen to be incredibly popular in the 2000s.

I also don't understand how so many people hate Coheed.

Same here, but I stopped wracking my brain over it a while ago. Some people are open to a whole range of rock (I listen to all sorts of classic rock, modern metal, emo, punk, nu metal etc. etc.) and some are like "OMGZ [insert genre here] ALL THE WAY! [people who listen to inserted genre] ARE T3H REAL ROCKERZ!"
As for songs I'd like to see:

Coheed and Cambria: anything really, but my top picks would be Gravemakers and Gunslingers, No World For Tomorrow, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth, The Final Cut, Everything Evil, Delerium Trigger, or Junesong Provision

Killswitch Engage: Rose of Sharyn, This is Absolution, My Last Serenade, or their cover of Holy Diver

Whitesnake: Still of the Night

Anything by:

Led Zeppelin
ACDC
Def Leppard
Journey
Iron Maiden
Bon Jovi

There's a hell of a lot more, but I'll leave it at that for now cuz my lady needs a ride home.

I agree, but if you think people will stop acting like children on message boards, you are dreaming.

Boards are populated primarily by people with too much time on their hands.

These people will no hesitate to declare how much they 'rule' and how much you 'suxors'.

'Tis the nature of the net, you won't change it, nor will any of us.

I want this on Rock Band. They may have to edit the fiddle part out, or keep it in to give the guitar player a rest since he will have to play the guitar, banjo, and mandolin parts. This song would smoke in Rock Band (with the exception of no lyrics...that right there might kill it). :)

Thank God someone has at least a fairly solid understanding of how things work. We really don't need another "Slipknot" or "Three Days Grace" topic on this board.

Why not? If enough people ask for these bands it is showing HMX that having those bands as DLC will be good for buisness. Granted i dont think Slipknot would work for RB and i dont really care for Three Days Grace but if people want to see them on Rock Band then let them make posts about it. I dont see what the harm is of having those posts in a forum that is made for RB requests.

TC speaks volumes of truth. I just hate seeing somebody suggesting DLC and somebody just flat out rejecting him. It's only DLC. Aka, DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. So I say, don't listen to what other people say. People are *******s. They just live to shoot you down and make you feel like a tool for liking <obscure and relatively unknown band> or <such and such band>. Listen to what you want and don't let other people influence your musical tastes. That's my two cents anyways.

Notice how all the music "fascists" are the smart people, and how all the idiots label them this because they insult the terrible bands that morons enjoy.

Harmonix can only have a limited amount of DLC, so I'd rather they put in real music like they're doing now (except for the all American Rejects), and not dumb down DLC.

Most music "Fascists" are against about 5 genres. 5 Genres that are very popular in the 2000s. 5 Genres out of tons and tons of genres that they like or tolerate.

Or it could be that you are not tolerant of other peoples musical opinions. Calling people idiots and morons because they listen to music you dont like is idiotic in itself.

Who cares what people request? All they are doing is making a request. If HMX decides to put it in game then you dont have to download it. You do not have a say of what goes in Rock Band or what gets left out. It is all up to HMX.

Let people be and enjoy music for what it is. An art. If you dont like it then dont reply to the thread about it and try to troll. It is a simple concept. Most people can understand that and respect it.

It's fine if you don't like certain genres of music or whatever, but music "fascists" seem to always have to barge in to any converation and say, "[insert song/band/genre here] is teh suxorz. All those noob who likes it are teh ******z!!! Lolzlolzlolzlolz!!!". Do music "fascists" really need to tell us 19256475 times they hate whatever it is they hate?

Also, they always have to say it in the most confrontational way possible. Instead of saying something like, "I don't really like this band. I find their lyrics pretentious and their guitar playing sub par.", they would say something more like, "This band sucks. Anyone who likes this band and the mongrel race who compose it are complete and utter idiots."

So because of one person who misclassified a band's genre you are judging everyone that way? Don't be that narrowminded.

Again, you are calling everyone idiots and morons when you are just displaying how idiotic and ignorant you really are. Spaming simple chords is a basic of music. Many great artists have done this because simple often times works out the best. Look at The Beatles. They were known for simple and great songs. Most punk bands use nothing but simple power chords.

Terrible/annoying lyrics is all to the person listening. Same thing with just plain music. Just because you do not like it doesnt mean that you have to jump in on a thread and try to bash people for listening to it. Be open minded and let people listen to and request what they want. If it doesnt get in Rock Band oh well! If it does get in Rock Band then dont download it. It really is a simple concept.

So please stop trolling in a post that is meant for people to stop with the negativity and respect one another.

Also their are plenty intelligent people that listen to Fall Out Boy. Hence why they are signed and have big named people in the music industry wanting to work with them. Sit down and actually listen to Infinity On High (their newest album). It really is a well put together album with great hooks and well written lyrics. The singer also has a very powerful voice.

I don't see how criticizing bad, generic music can be considered negative. Unless the OP is saying that MTV is a good influence on our culture then how can me criticizing the music it makes popular be something to complain about. There have been more and more generic bands becoming popular over the past few years, and if people keep parading around with their fall out boy and panic! at the disco shirts it will continue that way. It also comes down to what I want for DLC..since they do release a limited number of songs each week I don't want to leave that 'omg linkin park rulz' thread unchecked or else that might take up that week's slot. You can listen to whatever music you want on your own, but the second you take your positive review of that band public I am going to take my negative review of said band public, and that's the end of it.

This post comes after I noticed the post supporting fall out boy. When you say that they are good because they are signed to a major record company that actually proves the opposite of what you are trying to prove. Given that that 'major record company' is only in the business of making money, the reason they picked fall out boy up is because they knew fall out boy would be great at producing generic crap that generic people (there are alot of them) would listen to. I'm not so much frustrated that bands like that exist, but just that they are so popular and make so much money. If they were just a local band that played music as a part time job or whatever, that would better suit where their talent is at. But instead they are incredibly popular and all they do is pump out the same generic crap, so that needs to be stopped; I don't feel like I would be doing my duty as someone who enjoys music if I didn't bash them.

I dont care about the grammar. I was more interested in what the person had to say about the music rather then nitpicking how someone spells.

The people in the industry who signs bands like Fall Out Boy do it because they want money. The people want to work to get as much money as possible. The singer has an annoying whiny voice.

Actually, they are signed by Island. Island is a known major label that wants to promote good music. They also have many great artists under their belt. Like Nine Inch Nails, Bob Marley, and Thrice just to name a few. Every labels job is to make money but few labels actually want to promote good music. Unlike Victory Records who treats their artists really bad and doesnt care. I think you might be thinking of the earlier CD's where his voice was a little whiny. He has really improved his voice this record and sounds pretty different.

I understand your point. That i dont mind. What i mind is the insults that people are lashing out. Calling people idiots and morons is just plain disrespectful. Making fun of people because of their musical preferance isnt needed. The way you did it, i can respect because you are not disrepecting anyone. I just dont like people jumping in on a post and disrespecting people for listening to a certain genre or for how they spell.

The thing is, no matter how much people say they want/not want a band in Rock Band, it is ultimately HMX's decision. They have done an amazing job putting in good DLC so far so i am pretty confident in their decisions. Whatever music they put out i am fine with but if people want to request artists then i say let them and let HMX decide if they want to put it in or not.

While I realize calling the music fall out boy produces 'crap' and calling people that listen to it 'generic' seems really harsh, it's just hard to express any opinion about music without generalizing, and that goes for both sides. So I really doubt this thread is going to get anywhere because people are always going to get pissed because someone else assumed something about them because of the music they listen to. This game is also sort of in an unfortunate position to draw people that will end up clashing over tastes in music because it is of course supported by MTV, but it also draws on alot of people that have played gh since the beginning, and so are probably less likely to be influenced just because something is popular. Oh, and btw I would never want Faith no More taken out of Rock Band...sure Epic was overplayed, but Mike Patton is just incredibly versatile and deserves respect for that...hell he even did the screams/howls for the infected in I Am Legend.

I dont care about the grammar. I was more interested in what the person had to say about the music rather then nitpicking how someone spells.

Look, I wasn't "nitpicking" that person could barely type. It was literally hard to understand. And they didn't have anything good to say about music either. We go after people for being total morons. And it's not like we're putting them in music concentration camp, we're insulting them over and internet forum.

Island is a company. In a capitalist society. They want to make money. Maybe they wanted a generic Fall Out Boy band because they were running low on money, and needed a boost.

Well Said, speaking of fascism, if theres music on the DLC with lyrics changed cause of profanities and **** like that, make an alternate version on the DLC that is uncensored and available for download, god forbid we should listen to music with bad words, OH NO!!!!!!!!!

I agree. If they make the individual songs rated M, and keep the lyrics, they can keep so that the right people buy it. Why should we not get uncensored songs because some parents are too stupid to block their children from them?

Also their are plenty intelligent people that listen to Fall Out Boy. Hence why they are signed and have big named people in the music industry wanting to work with them. Sit down and actually listen to Infinity On High (their newest album). It really is a well put together album with great hooks and well written lyrics. The singer also has a very powerful voice.

I completely agree. The dude from Fall Out Boy has an extremely powerful voice, even more so than that dude from N*SYNC!

And their record label... that label could care less about the tastes of the mainstream, they even have THRICE on it, they're the most underground band I've EVER heard!

Also, Cradle of Filth is true black metal.

Well I know you've had a very unpleasent response to that and I apologise lol, but anyway.

Heavy Metal ain't rock. It's only rock inspired. And there is some Heavy Metal on Rock Band. So I think they could put some blues or jazz or any other thing that has a guitar, a bass, a singer and a dumer.

Stop saying "This is internet" please. We don't need any mean comment. It's not normal that people get angry and don't make the tiny effort to calm down. I mean you're writing it, you got plenty of time to think about it! People should realise that being insulting is NOT normal! Aren't we the most intelligent animal specie? Big deal, we've got a brain big enough to find the perfect insult that drives people mad, but we don't have the brain to really think before acting. Now we're all humans, I've been insulting too. But I try real hard not to hurt anybody. I can't just write Metalica is sooo fkn bad but i can say i don't like it. Even better, I can say why.

Aaaaanyway. I'd love to see some Pink Floyd (comfortably numb or another brick in the wall part 2, for exemple), Led Zeppelin (Achille's last stand), Jimi Hendrix (Purple Haze, Fire, Machine Gun) and more Deep Purple (Fireball, Demon's eye, Space Truckin').

Thanks lol. Yeah, I like Rush, but I don't know them that much. Best song I've heard from them was YYZ tough.

Yeah? YYZ is a good song...my favorite song is Tom Sawyer, but that's already in game! They are definitely a hard band to cover, but so far I am satisfied with the stuff that's been released...I'd like to see something from the permanent waves album...like natural science or spirit of radio...otherwise I'd love some more deep purple (I really like Pictures of Home. I play bass on space truckin' in a band in real life, but I'd still like space truckin' for DLC) ...Zeppelin would be good, but it seems like they a hard band to get...they seem like one of these weird bands that resist all this "new fangled technological mumbo gumbo" ...metallica used to be on that list (understandably, after their dealings with napster, it seems like putting their songs out into a new medium would be something they'd be skeptical of, but luckily they saw the potential of it)...now it just seems to be Zeppelin and AC/DC...patience...they'll come along. Now as for Pink Floyd, I would cream my jeans if Harmonix could get the whole Animals album! (think about how long it would take to chart that one!!! All those 10+ minute songs...on four instruments...and four difficulties for each!!! whoa!), but that would be beastly awesome! ...You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to
So that when they turn their backs on you
You'll get the chance to put - the - knife - in!!!!

I was never really into hendrix, but I've liked most the stuff from him that I have heard...I'd buy it for sure!

....oh and that reminds me to add to my rant....instead of forming pointless threads and resistance movements against people who criticize others' tastes in music, maybe people should just ignore it! Normal intelligent people don't care what other people think about their tastes in music...especially complete F%&@ING STRANGERS OVER THE INTERNET!!! JESUS CHRIST...why does it hurt your feelings so bad when some hairy bastard types that he thinks your fav band is "Suxorz" from the dank lonliness of his mom's wood-panelled basement??? If someone told me that Rush sucks I wouldn't lash out or try to drop some stupid banhammer on them with reports and flames galor...I'd add one more tally mark to my never-ending list of stupid people in the universe, but I'd go read another thread and let the troll have his laugh without giving him/her anymore material to make fun of...in short...STOP THIS CLICHE BULL**** ABOUT ALL SORTS OF INVENTED FASCISMS! Everybody and their brother calls people they don't like "fascists" it's not original at all...it's disgustingly the opposite of creative. /rant
