A lot of us want contemporary metal on the game

if you are just finding this out odds are you are new to these forums, welcome!

Now, out of the way is the double-kick pedal, which would require ONE HELL OF AN EXPANSION PACK, but is not completely undoable if we are willing to shell out the money for it.

The other issue is our new breed of aggressive vocals. Fear Factory, Slipknot, Behemoth, All That Remains, Acacia Strain, just throw a dart at modern metal, and chose a band. It is possible to scream this stuff on RB, for those of us who know how to and can do so properly. The lyrics must be word associated, like in the song Sabotage by the Beastie Boys or the verses in Epic by Faith No More. The pitch-based songs will never respond properly to us ripping out or throats, though a melodic chorus could be done effortlessly.

So, letting you all know, next time you play the Hand That Feeds, be sure to brush up on your screaming during the outro.

I hope they do it, and soon. In fact, whenever I'm singing on Rock Band and I come to any toneless section at all, I see it as an opportunity to practice my death growl.

Almost all the good bands nowadays in the hardcore genres have screaming in them, and the only way to get this music into RB without it losing its soul and power is to find a way to translate normal singing and normal tones into something that can be compared to the notelevel of the screaming.

Kinda.

To each his own. As much as I love metal and Rock Band, the last thing I need when I get home from a jam session is more screaming. I didn't buy Rock Band so I could download ****loads of music I already own that will randomly pop out in my World Tour with friends and force one of them to scream his ass out and **** his throat up for the night cause he's not warmed up or doesn't know how to do it right. That's not exactly my idea of throwing a Rock Band party.

But I'm sure some people would download stuff from Mastodon and Killswitch Engage

As much as I love metal I know alot of people who would hate to be stuck as the vocalist when it would come up randomly. That and two pedals is a necessity that just seems illogical, no matter how much I would want it.

Now if there was a way to narrow the random songs down, that would be a much better choice.

Eh, double kick has a couple easy fixes. Either do it like a few Metallica songs in there and ignore the off-foot, or sell extra kicks and mono-jack splitters so we can plug two in at once. (granted that it actually works and wouldn't break the electronics... not sure)

Even if the electronics wouldn't work like that, I'm sure a signal regulator or some such isn't out of the question? eh? eh? C'mon... you have electrical engineers, I know you do!! ... =D

instead of releasing a whole new drum set/kick pedal, just alter the drum chart for one pedal. that's what they did for Blackened by Metallica. I definitely heard some double-bass pedal action in that song, and was definitely only hitting A bass pedal. lol.

if i have to sing songs like Sabotage or Epic, we can get at least one metal pack. lol.
