Sooooo...after sitting down and searching around my guitar for a solid 10 minutes I finally found the tiny little hole on the side of the guitar for me to plug the headset into. Okay, awesome.
Well, when I was online, my friends couldn't hear me talking. What am I doing wrong? Is there a special option I need to select?
Note that I am new to the Xbox360 and have never used this before, so I have no idea what I'm doing.
Also, which way should I have the little wheel on the adapter turned to, the left or right?
All tips or even a little step by step setup guide would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

The switch and wheel should be to the right.
However, I have tried many times to use the headset with the adapters and it just dosent work. Other people can hear me, but i cant hear them until I unplug the headset, and then all i can hear is static and choppy garble anyways via their headsets and adapters.
wish i could help you more, but im voting for the whole headset adapter thing as being broken :P

I have similar issues with it, I can hear and be heard, but there is a constant static in the backround. IT was kinda fun, though, playing with a friend online and hearing his cousin attempting to sing in the background XD
