The Most Important Question about Rock Band...

WILL ROCK BAND BEAT GH3???????????????????
e.g. song choice, GH3's playing against Slash etc.

As far as I have seen.... most people think RB is ripping off GH. Which is just ludicrous. The average player..... i.e. the person who doesnt go to forums to talk about the game.... has no idea that Harmonix the creator of GH is working on RB.

Having said that a lot of fans of Guitar Hero will buy GH3. And seeing as it also is released first... will give it a jump on RB.

In the end however I think Rock Band will eventually take the lead. Almost to the point of making Guitar Hero obsolete.

once more people know about rock band, of course it will beat guitar hero. i know that's what harmonix was thinking when they got kicked out of the gh franchise. 4 instruments>1, plus all the promises of dlc.

GH3 has a huge installed base on the PS2. So it will win in numbers for awhile... But once more people upgrade to PS3 or 360.. Then Rockband will take over. Word of mouth is how GH got going and RB is gonna have even more rave reviews and people talking around the watercoolers.

RB will have a devoted, rabid fan base. GH3 will have a casual, pick up and play fan base.

People will tire of guitar hero 3 by spring time when Rock Band is still kicking it with DLC. It is then where people will turn to RB, and the game will explode

GH is like humankind as we know it...RB is like an advanced alien civilization, come to earth to beat the living hell out of humanity :)

And 'battling' slash in gh3 soulds lame....why not 'battle' GnR??? (thats GnR in the day when slash was apart of them :))
