What's with Online QUITERS!

Why are people quiting in middle of a song, they can't wait till the end of the song is done! Five or Six people in a row have quited the game in a middle of a song its fricken annoying!:mad: They should make it so they only can quit after a song!

I have had the same problem with people quitting. I had one guy quit on me during a song and then I got matched up against him again and he quit in the middle again.

What happens when someone quits during a ranked match? Do they get a loss? Does the person who was in the lead get a win? Or does it just drop stats for the match? If someone quits during a match they are losing, the other person should just automatically get the win.

It just drops the stats, afaik. So annoying. I must admit, I've come *very* close to dropping matches when you go up against the people who are obviously playing below their skill level just to feel good about themselves.

Haven't yet though, I just consider it practice :P

I was playing a score match and the guy got a good start on me, but towards the middle of the song i caught up to him, and by the end of the song I had passed him, and he quit right before the end!

Why the hell do quits not count as a win? Seriously I just played 5 games in a row in which I was beating a player and they quit right at the end. Yet I still don't have my achievement and I'm assuming that this effects them very little.

They should be locked out from playing multiplayer online if they quit too many games. It's not fair to those of us that play the game correctly and stay in till the end even though a loss is inevidable. I mean if I'm getting smoked I'll go take a leak or grab a snack from the kitchen and just leave the game on for the other 1-2 minutes of the song out of respect for my fellow gamers.

I shouldn't have to do a player review after every other game just to avoid quiters there should be something setup in the system that punishes quiters (ie. 3 quits in a 24 hour span gets u a 1 week lockout from online play).

I Hear Ya!!I just tried for my 5 score wins in a row and had to play 8 ppl!!!The ppl who quit should have counted as a win!! This is BS!!!There is always someone better out there,deal with it,FINISH the game ppl.I know some ppl r going 4 achievements but come on ,I was 4 wins into a duel and lost but gave the guy a thumbs up for beating me.I WILL give u ppl a bad rep IF u quit on me!!!So far thats the only way to avoid u ppl

I too have been having the same problem with Quiters!!!! Can be kicking arse and they quit and now I see why they too are going for achievements!!
5 wins in a ROW for score or duel!!
But hey thats not fair ,Finish the game or have the Quit count aganist u!!!

I had to quit a match earlier cuz my drum pedal broke in half in the middle. Once I quit because I was drumming too hard, and knocked the drums off the stand. I don't ever quit because I want too, and I half only quit like 3 times. I know that it is a sin, but oh well, stuff happens sometimes

All I can do is give people a bad review but yes it should definitely count as a win for you and a loss for them if they quit.

I wish there was a way to control that kind of rubbish.

There is:

1) Make quitting count as a loss toward the achievement. A lot of the quitters are just achievement whores.

2) If you quit, you have to wait 15 minutes before you can start a new match. That would stop the quitters cold.

I believe a quitter is given a loss and the other person is given a win online (I know at least the 2nd half of that to be true). This effects everything but achievements.

Ive only played 10 games online with rock band, and that is on expert guitar, i got the 5 in a row for the duel and tug of war and ppl quit a couple times, i got da win still...

You still get the win but you don't get the achievement. Some people need Xbox achievements like smack addicts need smack.

First of all, Land0n13, FenderBender794, and DODGE_01, it's spelled "quitters". Two t's. Seriously, if you're using Mozilla, a spellchecker should be working automatically.

Second, people quit because they don't want it to negatively reflect their Trueskill rating or they are going for the 5-in-a-row acheivement. Or they're sore losers.

I don't know if quitting breaks your winning streak or counts as a loss. I know that if your opponent quits, it doesn't count as a win.

My best suggestion is give them a bad rep if they quit. That way you won't be matched up with them again and their internet ego goes down a little.

I had a guy beat me on some crappy poppy song I never play so don't know the note chart for the other night. I get paired with him again on the very next song and "...And Justice for All" comes up as our song. He quit about halfway through when I was topping by almost 100k. Seriously. Quitters are ****. If you are that much of an unskilled **** that you need to quit matches to get your achievement then you don't deserve the god damn achievement. I got my streak achievements without quitting. That means I'm better than everybody who has ever quit a match imo.

Yeah, people just quit when they are losing. Since I'm a good expert drum player, I have few complete matches. I think it is just a mistake to let ppl do it. The online play has many problems.

I usually wait till the end of the song before quitting. Unless I'm in a game with a bunch of incompetent people who can't play fake instruments and I really need to go at like, that exact moment.

Yeah same thing happened to me today. Get through half the song then they quit. What I think Harmonix should do is put a time penalty on that user so they cant search for people to play a song. Also I think that if someone loses it should count as a loss and the a win should go to the other player.

I was drumming to Learn to Fly with some guy today and we were both doing perfect. He missed one note towards the middle of the song and quit out. I don't think I'm ever going to play online again because stuff like this happens every time.

Honestly, I had begun to think that the quitting thing was dying down. I had great success (insert borat voice here) this past week with both getting my ass kicked, and kicking ass with no quitting. Then as of last night, I had 4 or so people quit when losing.

I just keep giving them bad reviews, but I fear my buttons are getting worn out from all the use :)

It has been happening to me too no matter what mode. I went a played a player match which does nothing to the ranking thinking I would find someone that would not quit.

Well this guy comes on who has a working mic, mine does not work through my drum set and my wireless was dead. He started asking me if I was ready for my a** kicking.

He picks welcome home on expert and starts to laugh, but what he did not know is that this is not only one of my favorite songs on the game, but I am pretty good at it.

I beat him badly and he says I got luck and I was a punk and if I was a real man I would play him again right now. He was the leader so he chose replay, so I said ok and played again.

Not even 5 min into the song he starts losing then he quits. My son had six people in a row quit on him. This is a problem that needs to be handle so Harmonix/EA what do you say?

I still say EA should implement what they do in thier sports games, if you quit you lose and it gives you a DNF rating for all to see.

best way i can think to cull the quitters is to instill a sort of honor system. For a few years, i have been playing this online baseball game at http://www.smallball.com on SmallBall, there is an honor system that reveals the level of the other players that have been defeated. with 1-10 being the skill rank of players, and 10 being the highest...I would have an honor rating of say 9.4 if the last ten people i challenged were in the 9-10 skill rank..

Conversely, we could see an honor rank of 1-10 of people we want to challenge...With a rank of ten meaning they never quit. So if you see a challenger with an honor rank of 1.8, you pretty much know that they have a tendency to quit.

I played 13 matches on hard guitar tonight. I didn't win a single match. Keeping in mind I don't suck really badly, 8 people quit on me, 5 people were either better or we played a song I just hate. 5 of the quitters were in a row, meaning had they not quit, I would have my achievement. I can say with pride I have never quit, even when I played the same guy on medium vocals 4 times in a row and lost miserably all 4 times. I'm going to run out of people to play if this trend continues, because nearly everybody I play I am forced to avoid.

I didn't originally find quitting to be a rampant problem, at least on expert difficulty. I played Tug Of War and had no one quit on me, and since then I have been playing Online Quick Band Play.

But now my opinion has changed. I just had three consecutive quitters playing Score Duel on Expert. This is ridiculous. All of the matches were close, and I was barely pulling it through at the end, then they quit. I just finished playing "When You Were Young" and the other guy had a 100% going his way. I missed a note, but still pulled it back with good overdrive use, and he quit.

This is a major problem.

Everyone that quits on me I just go into my gamer profile and file a thing on them that says they quit. Then it bans them from playing against me again. Well at least I hope it does.

I try not to quit in-game. But if I have to go, I have to go.

But usually if I quit it's in the matchmaking:

1. I don't like being the leader.

2. Some people talk too much.

Sometimes, it's not so obvious. I find I'm really good on the songs I know, but stink at obscure bonus songs, or heavy meatal songs with a lot of syncopation. Today had two or three losses in a row, then "Should I Stay or Should I Go" came up, and I aced it.


Besides, doesn't TrueSkill penalize ringers?

Over half my matches are quitters. It seems too happen to me more often on Expert. I can usually tell which people really shouldn't be playing on Expert Difficulty. They are usually the ones who quit.

My drums are finally working ok but I havent been able to advance any further because half the people quit on me. And from the other half 1/4 of the matches I lose. :(

I haven't been able to advance lately either. I'm so close to 35 but the last time I played I got 5 quitters in a row and gave up.
Tonight I keep getting rediculously easy songs. Soundgarden, 30 seconds to Mars, Weezer, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's.... and I keep losing because of an overstrum or single missed note.

And everyone who beats me I invite to a private game, and no matter what (hard) song we play, they lose. By a lot.
FWD by 75k, Justice by 50k, etc.
