So I want to bring Rockband to work to addict all my coworkers on this game, but the drums are way too difficult to transport. I already dragged all the controllers in the original box when I came back to my place after Christmas. I almost dropped it several times plus the guitar doesn't fit in it after snapping that head on. Anyone seen other bags that would work for carrying Rockband gear, especially the drum.

There's an article about this, I think the official Rock Band store sells a bag for the drum.

Werd. I guess that is the only option.

I had forgot to mention that I've seen that. Harmonix's store doesn't show any as well as Amazon not having any. But I suppose before the end of this month there will be a fresh batch of them to buy up.

Any other ideas besides the official bag?

I have transported mine instruments many a time...I just used one of those massive Ziploc bags...i'm not sure the exact name...but they are very big and blue and have handles..dissassembled the drums and mic goes in the bag...then throw the guitar around my body via the strap...not super attractive but works well..atleast for me

I bought a 30" duffel bag from Walmart a week ago that works almost perfectly. It has two compartments -- one smaller compartment in the bottom that can hold the guitar, drum stand pipes, mic/controllers/wires, then the main compartment that will hold the drum pads, drum stand feet, and PS3.

The bag was only $30. Unfortunately, I can't find it on their site any more. Also, you have to remove the guitar head, since it adds another 5" or so (or, just carry it separately, which is what I ended up doing on the way back).

It may not have been the most protective solution, but if it's protection you want, you can either add in your own padding, or go w/ a more expensive alternative. But for me, this works great.

I just bought a huge hockey duffel bag from The Sports Authority. The bags are big enough for a hockey stick - so they're big enough for a guitar. Also, they're deep bags. I can fit 3 guitars, plus a drum kit, 4 xbox controllers, a microphone, and a mic stand in my bag with ease.

The rock band drum bag is no longer listed on the Rock Band store website. It is listed on Amazon but only as a preorder for a Feb 1st or so release.

So far my best interim solution for transporting the whole kit is as such:

Yeah, it does kinda suck that they dropped it from the store... I managed to get one before they stopped taking orders, and I have to say that it's real nice for carrying the kit around.

All I need is a bag for the guitar and between the two of them I can carry all the peripherals around pretty easy. I just carry the guitar around loose now, because it's not like I'm concerned about it getting a scratch in it or something. That and the drum throne are all I have to carry besides the drum bag.

I've been carrying around rock band for a long time- it's like a losers lounge at my weekly poker games, and my sis has hosted 2 rock band parties sinceshe bought the game in january. I have been lucky enough to find two rock band guitar bags at 2 different circuit city stores, I've been looking for more, but they're hard to come by. so, the two guitars go in the guitar bags, and then those, plus everything save for my 360 (drums, drum throne, mic, mic stand, and power strip) go into a giant duffle bag that I bought at target for like $15.00. I have a G-pack 360 carrying bag for my xbox 360, games, 2 controllers, power brick, usb hub, and a/v cables.

I ordered the drum bag from the rock band store in december, the order has been "in process" for the past two months.

I got this bag:
duffel bag from target (http://www.target.com/Pro-Spirit-ProSpirit-Duffel-Black/dp/B000PSS040/sr=1-18/qid=1208210555/ref=sr_1_18/602-2165239-7175817?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aduffle%20bag&page=1)

works great. I fit all the instruments in there. I then pack my XBox in a backpack and carry my drumstool and mic stand separately.

I would use the HUGE rock band box to put the instruments in and i would disemsble the drum set and then put back together again

For the guitar, I just wear it hanging on my back. For Drums, Duffel bag.

the last time I was at future shop, I saw a guitar case you could buy. I didn't look close enough to see if it fits all the guitar controllers or not, but it would definately be something to look for if you want a guitar case.

I just use a giant duffel bag. I can fit everything in there, drums, throne, two guitars, etc. Works great, cost like $20 bucks.

I would get this, but it has received such negative reviews.

I was wondering what other people have been using to move their stuff around?

I don't really want to spend over 30 bucks but will if I have to...

I had an old hockey bag (junior size) that I put my stuff in to transport it. It holds:

2 GH Les Paul guitars
1 RB drum set (completely disassembled)
XBox 360 and all wires
1 controller and headset

It's a tight fit, though. When I get a RB2 guitar I'll probably have to buy a bigger hockey bag.

that will keep it safe in transporting it

I bought a 40 gallon tub (storage bin) from Wal-Mart. It was pretty cheap and had a cover. It also has wheels on one side. It works pretty good to fit all your Rockband gear inside.

On a recent trip, I packed the Xbox stuff up in a small box with the drum parts (minus the pads). Threw the pads in a plastic bag (one bag on each end, rubber banded in the middle). Mic stand in the original box. Two guitars in one of my guitar gig bags. That worked well enough. Still takes up a bit of space in the car, but it worked.

i just found a big enough duffel bag at Wal Mart today. made by Protege, its 32" long, can fold up compact (not important except to identify) and it has wheels on 1 end even though its a duffel bag.

everything fits in nice, even a full sized drum kit. only thing is you have to take the stems off the guitars. you might be able to fit the game system and cords in too, i didnt try it but after all the instruments were in there is still some room.

only $15! (at my Wal Mart at least)

Hockey bags. I've been playing hockey since I was 3. When I got a new bag the old one was perfect for Rock Band gear.

The newer ones have wheels and a telescoping handle. Most have two end pockets which would fit any console as well. I have the RB2 kit with four cymbals. I used the base of the RB1 kit and poles and a little cutting it now locks into the RB2 kit base. That plus guitars, plus console all fits with room to spare. It would definitely fit a mic stand as well and judging from the size of the box, the stage kit as well.
