I wanted a way to view the list of available songs and have a list of the songs that I had so I created this excel for myself. I thought I would share it here.
The excel had to be zipped because the site doesnt allow for xls attachments.
I put information on the songs that I had gathered from other threads and wikipedia including year, length, artist, album, how it is obtained, and decade. I also added a column that allows you to mark the ones you have then you can filter on just those. I wanted this ability so I could print out a list of the songs for people to look at when having rock band parties.
If you have any suggestions on additions, post them here. I thought about adding the genre of the song (or at least what rock band considers the genre to be). It would be nice to have a instrument difficulty rating for each song, but i realize that is kinda arbitrary.
Enjoy.
**UPDATED: Added columns for difficulty of all instruments and genre.
**UPDATED: Added info thru 1/15/08 songs

Thank you, this is useful stuff.
Personally, I'd love to have tiered difficulty info. difficulty itself is arbitrary, but the song tiers the game uses are not. Unfortunately, not all songs show up in the tiered solo careers, and bass doesn't have a career.
But a list that had some instrument specific info would be cool for when friends come over; Finding songs that have easy bass and vocals for singing and playing at the same time, for example.
Regardless, thanks for putting the list together, it's downloaded and I'll be using it.

Wow, great timing...I was just about to put one of these together so I could keep track of highscores. I miss being able to try and beat my own high scores in quickplay like on Guitar Hero, and viewing the top 5. I'll never be on the leaderboard anywhere but it's fun to try and better my old scores.

I hate you.....only because I spent some time yesterday doing almost the same thing. I also color coded the song difficulty based on vocal/drum/guitar (3 cols). Blocks 1-3 = Green / 4-6 = Yellow / 7-9 = Red.
I actually started mine as a way to track my leaderboard rankings easier so I knew which songs needed work then realized it'd be helpful at parties as well.

I have one that I use to keep track of which difficulty to use on songs during on-line play to keep from failing out.

Am I right in assuming that the Bass difficulty is just a copy of the guitar difficulty?
(I'm not complaining, I know it might be impossible to get accurate bass info)

Its not a direct copy, but im not sure where the value come from exactly since I 'borrowed' the difficulty information from someone else.
If you just quick play a song and do bass, then are the songs in a different difficulty order then guitar? (at work or would check).

The list is great! Has been updated further?
Was wondering if you could add a column for which songs have big rock endings.

Great spreadsheet, I already made a spread sheet that shows my proficiency in each song so I know what difficulty to play on when I go online or play BWT, but this will be very useful when choosing songs in BWT to ensure I get max fans and stars, thanks!
Suggestion: Add a column to list your highest score, including difficulty, stars, percentage, and streak.

Bass difficulty is easy to find out by choosing "Community->Leaderboards" from the main menu and then choosing "Bass". No, the difficulties aren't the same as Guitar.
