How to play and sing...?

I apologize in advance because I'm sure this subject has been approached several times before, I just can't find the thread.

I don't know if I'm just an idiot... I think I'm doing everything properly as indicated, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to play guitar and sing using the headset.

I plug the adapter to the headset and the headset to the guitar but I can't get this to work.

Does it only work on certain modes? What am I doing wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

You would need to plug the headset into a controller to use it for vocals since the controller is tied to the vocalist. Although, many players (including myself) have had problems with there being a 1 second delay between when you sing and it registering through the speakers/game when using the headset.

Your best option is to get a microphone stand and just use the microphone that came with the game.

so does this mean you can't plug it into the guitar or the drum as illustrated in the instructions???

The method listed in the instructions is for communicating with other players when you play online.
