My list is going to be ordered by decade, since that seems to be the way the campaign setlist is going to be structured. (In quick play oyu can sort songs how ever you want by pressing the Y button. Yuo can sort alphabetically, by year released, by artist and difficulty by instrument). With that in mind, I thought it made most sense that each decade's set would have the same amount of songs in it, giving each decade 8 songs if the 60's are indeed a decade in the game. This is what i'm looking at as a realistic guess as to what we could be seeing (bold means master tack)
60's:
Creedence Clearwater Revival-Fortunate Son
Cream-Badge
Rolling Stones-Gimme Shelter
MC5-Kick Out The Jams
Janis Joplin-Piece of My Heart
Jimi Hendrix-Fire
Allman Brothers-Whipping Post
Encore-Beatles-Helter Skelter
70's:
Ramones-Rockaway Beach
Black Sabbath-Paranoid
David Bowie-Suffragette City
Blue Oyster Cult- (Don't Fear) The Reaper
Mountain- Mississippi Queen
Cheap Trick-I Want You to Want Me or Foreigner-Hot Blooded
Journey-Wheel in the Sky
Encore-The Who-Won't Get Fooled Again
80's:
Bon Jovi-Wanted Dead or Alive
Rush-Tom Sawyer
Guns N' Roses-Nightrain
Tom Petty-Runnin' Down a Dream
Beastie Boys-Fight For Your Right
Def Leppard-Photograph
Judas Priest-Breaking the Law
Encore-Van Halen-Panama
90's:
STP-Vasoline
Nirvana-In Bloom
Foo Fighters-Learn to Fly
Weezer-Say It Ain't so
Pearl Jam-Jeremy
Soundgarden-Jesus Christ Pose
RHCP-Around the World
Encore-Metallica-Enter Sandman
00's:
Queens of the Stone Age-Go With the Flow
The Strokes-Reptilia
Hives-Main Offender
Wolfmother-Joker and the Thief
Tool-Schism
Darkness-I Believe in a Thing Called Love
Audioslave-Show Me How to Live
Encore-Smashing Pumpkins-Tarantula
bonus songs/downloadable songs at release not by harmonix bands
Chuck Berry-Johnny B. Good
Motley Crue-Smokin' In the Boys Room
Mott the Hoople-All the Young Dudes
Canned Heat-Let's Work Together
Queens of the Stone Age-Sick, Sick, Sick
Cinderella-Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)
The Knack-My Sharona
Police-Roxanne

seven nation army has no bass. it wouldn't work. and american idiot as an encore would just be an insult for the game...

For the most part, it looks pretty good, American Idiot as the final encore wouldn't happen, IF the game was configured in that format, I would just keep losing inspiration as the game goes on...

that's why I put it in as a cover version. Bass would be put into the song. Plus I know crap about todays music, so please suggest a better tracklist for today's music while keeping the genre's balanced.

so the people yelling about screams/growls won't yell at me, i'll try not to go too hardcore...
(any of these could work well for a 00's encore)
the fall of troy- seattlantis
protest the hero- blindfolds aside
the human abstract- crossing the rubicon

I think White Room would be a better Cream song than Badge.
Lot of good choices up there.

Need some new wave, and Post Punk/alternative in the 80s. Other than that, and Janis Joplin it is very very good.
EDIT: Yeah, White room would be better. You should also add some Kaiser Chiefs, and Arctic Monkeys to the 2000s list.

All of the suggestions for the 00's are flat-out ridiculous. The Blend is fine, but why is there this repetitive attitude of garbage? For an encore for the 00's, why not Dream Theater, they deserve to be immortalized like no other. Children of Bodom also, there are enough songs where Alexi actually sings a lot too. I mean seriously. Let's get some songs with some actual skill to them, i know beginners will need help, but this game should start off harder than anything when your at a higher skill level.

I actually don't find this realistic like the title implies.
You don't even have AC/DC in the list......

Id be pretty happy with the list. Only unrealistic aspect i guess would be helter skelter.. simply because I don't see Apple licensing beatles songs any time soon. They wont even release them on iTunes or anything.
But **** helter skelter would rock my socks off to sing/drum/play

Well, that's because Apple (the record company) doesn't like Apple (Macintosh and iTunes) because they think they have the rights to the name Apple. They aren't such a long shot for Rock Band, imo.
But **** helter skelter would rock my socks off to sing/drum/play
I GOT BLISTAHS ON MY FINGAHS!

Very true.. But they still haven't allowed any downloads for cash to any other site that I know of, unless i'm wrong. I hope to hell they can get some Beatles

Gotta hold the mic out to the drummer for that one :D

you're joking right? I 100% doubt that AC/DC will be in any video game anytime soon. It's more realistic for me to leave them off the list. And Breaking the Law or Livin' After Midnight are the safe bets for a Priest song. I'd rather see Victim of Changes or Beyond the Relms, but I played it safe with a song off British Steel. And for my present day stuff like I said I don't know much, so I played it safe once again and picked the most likely choices. As I said these aren't the songs I WANT in the game but songs I think WILL ultimately wing up in the game.
and about Cream, anything by Cream would be good. I picked Badge for pretty no reason except I think it has a great quartet of amazing drums, guitar bass and vocals, but so does white room.
putting the Beatles in was a stretch, but I couldn't think up another good 60's song. Maybe Johnny B. Goode or something

Insubordinate FOOL. I have POWERS. If I remember you when they officially confirm AC/DC I will remember to PM you a big mess of me spamming the phrase "I TOLD YOU SO HAHAHAH!"
That is all.

The 2000's could use a little Black Stone Cherry love too. Or some Sevendust. Anything but more QOTSA. :)
Good organization and some nice, realistic tracks that could wind up in the game. Nice job!

ok for the second time now.
I made the list to represent a realistic idea of what the actual song list will look like. If I were making a "dream list" I would have AC/DC on there, but since I have serious doubts they'll be in the game I felt it made more sense to leave them out.
