AC/DC in?

I'm getting this from the GameFAQ's site, but apparently on page 50 of the new EGM it mentions that AC/DC will help promote Rock Band. Think maybe that's hinting that there's a song in the game?

Granted, it's under the rumor mill, so that's a pretty large chuck of salt to take... but still... I'm pretty much jumping on any rumor that comes along regarding this game. I just can't get enough! I've been lurking these boards for a couple months now, and decided to jump on with this (hopefully) juicy tidbit.

I seriously doubt it. AC/DC won't even give their music to iTunes, and aren't too big with MTV (they're more VH1 guys) so it's unlikely to be true. I hope to god it is though.

Yeah, one of the HMX employees said that he/she would kill to see Beatin' Around the bush (One of their lesser known, yet still amazing songs)

Well... the same penny-pincher'ness (is that a word) could also apply to Metallica, and RB got them to finally give in. Could be comparing apples and oranges, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

And hell, if they can get Metallica AND AC/DC, Zep can't be far behind.

I can't even begin to sum up how frickin' excited I am for this game.

They have gotten metallica, I think anything is possible. I would not be too surprised to see AC/DC and Zeppelin in Rock Band, that would also basically secure themselves as top music rhythm game, if they haven't already. I think everyone would buy the game if those three bands were in it, people have been begging for them since Guitar Hero.

Well... I couldn't find a scan of the rumor mill, but if you type "egm ac/dc rumor mill" into Google, there's a bunch of sites that mention the line about "AC/DC will be promoting Rock Band". Not confirmation that the rumor is correct, but at least confirmation that the August issue of EGM had this tidbit in it.

Now the real question is what "promoting" means. One would think that if a band is promoting a game, they would have something to do with said game.

If AC/DC is indeed going to help promote RB, then they'll definitely have a song on the retail version of the game. And I wouldn't count a band out of the game just because they don't support or agree with mp3 services. I'm sure by now bands know that these games help sell albums by reaching an audience they normally wouldn't reach - not to mention the money from licensing that they'll make.

I see theres no love for Bon here.Brian's songs are to hard to sing becuase he screams to much.I'd really love "Highway To Hell" or "TNT" to be in their.
