In the game, only if you buy new guitars at the shop.

In real life, if you use stickers I guess.

Your "icon" when you go online becomes gold too. To show you did the endless setlist. Whatever instrument you play online with, the symbol, icon, picture, whatever you wanna call it, it becomes gold.

in the endless setlist can you turn off your game system and comtinue next time or do you have to do it all in 1 playthrough without turning it off?

That's correct. No saving. You can pause it, and leave the machine on, but if you turn the game off, it will not save your progress and you'll have to go back and start all over. So basically it's All or Nothing.

Quickie on the colors:

The color depends on the --LOWEST-- difficulty in the group upon completion. Choose wisely, as one member on Hard will lower the whole group to Gold.

There is no saving, but if you fail, you can retry a song at a slightly higher fan penalty (-12,800ish)

Here's the colors by lowest Difficulty with Achievement:
Medium--Vinyl Artist--White on Black (Inverted)
Hard--Gold Artist--Golden Icon
Expert--Platinum Artist--Platinum/Silver radial Icon.

Playing with any player who has grouped the ES on Expert nets you the 5 point "Riding on Coattails" achievement.

On our run, we took a break after every 10-12 songs. Make sure your vocalist and drummer drink water constantly, and the Guitar and Bass stretch their wrists and fingers. We had our Bassist's fingers lock up for a day afterward cause he has arthritis already. If you're a vocalist, expect to have speaking issues the next day for about two or three hours.

I'm planning on putting up a survival guide sometime. could be fun.

My friend and myself will be attempting the endless setlist 58 song marathon this weekend, we are already in the hall of fame, I play bass he plays guitar we are pretty good, we both play medium, he has the x-box version of the game so his GH3 controller works with his game, I have the PS3 version of the game so all I can do here at home is sing with my USB microphone, as the GH3 controller is not compatible with the PS3 and probably never will be, PS3 being the only platform it is not compatible with, all parties in this fiasco are to blame with Sony themselves at the top of the pile for not stepping up and defending their platform and their customers.

I figured I'd post here instead of making a new topic, but a quick question.

I'm supposed to glow online if I beat the Endless setlist with all participating members on expert, right? My friend and I beat it on expert guitar and bass, got the platinum icon, but my guitarist doesn't glow online. Do you need a whole band capable of playing expert to get the glow?

I don't see why you couldn't. It does not involve DLC, so it should pop up as available on Band World Tour when you reach the appropriate milestone.

No, you can't as there is no world tour mode.

Yeah, i did it about a month ago. It took me 7 hours~.
That was only because we had two 20~ minute breaks for food. And about a 45~ minute break since my friend had to leave and another one came. I actually found it was fun and pretty easy but I must admit I was feeling sleepy after it was over.
