View Full Version : Any Exclusive Bands?

In the wake of Dragonforce being confirmed for GHIII and everyone freaking out, I have to ask:

Are any bands currently exclusively in Guitar Hero or Rock Band?

Weezer and QOTSA are both in GHIII and RB, so I don't think so, but can we get anything confirmed? It would suck if you guys started snapping up bands between each other.

I wouldn't call it exclusive, its just a coincidence that Harmonix and Neversoft are picking out some of the same popular artists.

It's not like they have a spy in each other's headquarters that reports back to base and tells his team to get a certain artist just because RB or GH will have them.

Yet.

I know, they seem to be on pretty good terms with each other so far. What I'm worried about is the franchises getting bands to sign up for them exclusively, like the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray thing. So far, Velvet Revolver (or at least Slash) seems to be big GH fans, but they haven't said anything about being exclusive.

I'm still so upset about Through the Fire and Flames being on GH3. Do you guys think theres still a chance for the song to be on Rock Band? Because honestly, lets face it, all of Dragonforce's songs sound near exactly the same, but Through the Fire and the Flames is like the grand massing of their style into sweetness. But man... I wanted that in Rock Band so bad.

All their songs realy do sound the same. It's pretty much just swapping out guitar solos. Dragonforce will probably be in Rock Band, at least as DLC.

I'm not really too worried if they are in RockBand. The Metal gods have already demanded that I buy GH3 because Maiden is in it.

Dragonforce's songs sound different.

Each have their own special tone to it. But most of them have extremely similar qualities.
