It's gotta take Vocal cords of STEEL to sing like Brian Johnson! (AC/DC lead singer) Although, I like Axl's voice too, no matter how girly it sounds.

If he counts, Sinatra was pretty good.

Also, Damon Albarn (Blur/gorillaz) sounds cool, but that might just be because Gorillaz were one of the first bands I really got into.

I might get flamed for this, but I like Connor Oberst from Bright Eyes' voice. After listening to Bright Eyes it sounds like every emo singer is just trying to sound like him.

Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and I'll back up Rev0lver on Cedric Bixler. That dude could shatter people's eyes with his voice.. in a good way.

Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys. His voice is un-imitatable. And he's an amazing song writer, Holiday in Cambodia and Kill The Poor ftw.

For my money, Eric Adams of Manowar, David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, and Bruce Dickenson.

Of course I noted that NewWayToDie had a quote from Manowar as his signature. How can you not suggest Eric Adams?

Matt Barlow.

The only way anyone can say Matt Barlow is not one of the greatest singers in history, is if they dont know who Matt Barlow is. Period.

I admire him the most because of how diverse he is. He can go from moving you and give you a sense of melancholy, to straight ahead tear your head off, both with fierce vocals, and falsetto vocals.

Is it bad if i say Kurt Cobain?

Yes, yes it is. But I'll say this about him, he was easily the third most talented guy in the band. ;)

But seriously, people - no mention of Brad Delp in this thread yet?

Lets see...

Matt Heafy (Trivium) because the ****er was talented at 14 years old to produce a kick-ass EP.
Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God) Because that pitch and pitch changes of screaming is next to impossible.
Anthony Green (Good-Saosin and Circa Survive) Because he was just pimp. An awesome range and just awesome voice.
Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver) I just love his singing, it's so awesome, rough and amazing. A true singer unlike half the stuff today.
Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden and solo) He's just Bruce Dickinson. That's all.
Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath and solo) It's the OZZ-MAN! Come on, what's to describe. The most recognizable voice in metal.
