We could probably get a lot of people to agree on:

Boston: Don't Look Back
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin I, Houses of the Holy
Rush: 2112
Van Halen: Van Halen I

Yes but I think everyone including me likes the self titled :D

That Rush album would be cool. The Deep Purple one would be okay. Other than that I would prefer not playing any of them. Especially ACDC and Pantera.

Eh. Call me crazy but the only one i would spend money on would be Led Zeppelin.

Yeah but thats just you cause you don't like your music hard

AC/DC and pantera have massive ammounts of fans..... so thats just you personally

I'm sure at least 10million people would love to play AC/DC in a video game

That's the thing; I like my music very hard, I just don't like metal. I realize that ACDC and Pantera are very popular, which is why I said "I" instead of "everyone" or "many". After being on this forum for all of a week I've realized that my musical taste is not shared by many people. That's okay though since I, as well as everyone else, is entitled to their own opinion.

i disagree on the ramones. guitar, bass, and drums are all boring.

Yeah well of course people literally won't agree with every single one of those since they are all different from each other , however... the bands I listed are like... the biggest names in their genres.

I'd say you're right, though. Especially for the poeple in this forum. They're into it, it's cool.

And the people off the forums too , I mean... you see like 50billion people with ramones shirts on every day

I think that right there is proof that having an album by them as DLC would go over well

They even have a street named after a member so yeah :P

And everyone loves boston ... I mean I've literally never seen or heard anyone say they flat out hate boston

Meh I could explain the popularity of all of the bands to everyone else but I don't want to

I donno... I'd rather have an easy band I enjoy the music of in the game than a harder band I don't enjoy...

Like... I'd rather have the ramones than metallica

Led Zeppelin - Led zeppelin II
Deep purple - Machine head
Nirvana - Nevermind
Those are the only ones I'd buy, and even then Machine Head wouldn't be a definite buy. I might buy a ramones album, too, if you had picked a better one such as Rocket to Russia or The Ramones, but I wouldn't buy Animal Boy.

Guns N roses - Appetite for destruction
Pantera - Cowboys from hell
Iron maiden - Piece of Mind
Rush - Grace under pressure
Nirvana - Nevermind

That's what I would take.

And from the post in the Rock Band forum, we're getting Nirvana's Nevermind after The Who album download. Nice!!

2112 would be a good song, except for the fact it is 20 minutes long! it would be cool if they mad the song in parts and not the entire thing

Rush - Grace under pressure
Nirvana - Nevermind

I disagree with these

2112 and moving pictures are way better for rush

Nirvana sucks and should never have existed (alice in chains and soundgarden are way better grunge bands)

I'd go with 2112 and Permanent Waves (Freewill, Spirit of Radio, and Entre Nous ftw.)

Come on Linkin Park
deserves 2 be in this game

vulgar display of power would be a better pantera choice, but cowboys from hell is a close second.

A few DLC albums I would kill for.

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
Turbonegro - Apocolypse Dudes
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers
Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast or Piece Of Mind
Eric Clapton - Slowhand
The Clash - London Calling
Against Me! - Searching For A Former Clarity
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV or II

Enh? who can complain about those.

When the hell has ACDC been considered metal?
i think you should listein to some old Bon Scott man.

Painkiller was a "painfull" release.... No true Priest fan would want that. May as well pick something with Ripper on it too.

Green Day - American Idiot or Warning

Regardless of whether or not people like them, their albums are in many aspects "epic"... plus. it's a nice range of songs that are different in a lot of ways.

I know people will disagree... so, please... be nice.

ObsceneReality
07-28-2007, 11:56 AM
I would be down for seeing American Idiot on there, but definitely not Warning. That is by far my least favorite Green Day cd. If I had a choice Insomniac would be it.

Batapotamus
07-28-2007, 02:44 PM
I reckon Skid Rows' SLAVE TO THE GRIND would be an awesome album to play. Every song off that album is a kick arse rock song with some great moments with all instruments.

newwaytodie
07-28-2007, 02:58 PM
American Idiot is a theme album so that actually makes sense. I'd enjoy that, even though it isn't the most difficult setlist.

I'd absolutely love any Nirvana song/album so I'm fine with that. ACDC would be awesome, AFD is a great CD, Boston, Pantera, and Iron Maiden I could live without, but they would be OK, and I'd probably buy a Rush, Ramones, (definetly) Led Zeppelin, or Deep Purple CD, so yeah I can agree with all of those. Also, I'd love for any Rage Against The Machine. All my opinion though.

Whoa... granted Nirvana was way too overhyped, they, by no means, sucked.
Cobain was cool.

*denotes bias

Metallica* - any/all of the first 5 albums
AC/DC** - In addition to Highway and Back in Black: High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, For Those About to Rock, [I liked] Flick of the Switch, and Fly on the Wall
Megadeth* - [any]
Iron Maiden* - any of them w/ Bruce

I know i just found out tonight. I've officially jumped from the GH ship to RB. lol

That explains the name XD

I am on the GH3 yacht... Sailing aside the S.S. Rock band... I might jump ship depending on what happens with future announcements :P but I am already for sure buying GH3

NirvanaFTW
07-28-2007, 07:39 PM
I was still leaning towards GH before the Nevermind announcement, ecspecially since I'm pretty broke. However, I'll find something to sell to pay for Rock Band. I'll just have to do without drums, a mic, an extra guitar, and obviously GH. I will pick up GH after Christmas when I have money again, because it looks like the best GH yet.

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory was a good shout.

I'd love to see Definitely Maybe by Oasis. Every song is class.

Also Never Mind the B******* by the Sex Pistols would be cool

And some Blondie, Clapton & Hendrix.

I love The Ramones, but Animal Boy sucks, I don't know of anyone who liked it, except the poster of this forum... oh well
good albums on list:
Boston-s/t
Led Zeppelin II
