Before i go forward with the list I would like to mention the one song that sticks out in my head as being an all time classic that rocks on all levels. If the powers that be have any sense this one song will make the cut somewhere in the game, personally I think it has final encore credibilty.

I second that. And also, a better AC/DC song could be used. I am an AC/DC fanatic, but Back in Black isn't that great for Rock band. It would probably be one of my top choices, but there are betters that are a bit faster. Thunderstruck, If you want blood, beatin' around the bush. Those songs.

korn and disturbed aren't bad songs but I was looking to balance out the heavy on the 80's look to the list...so maybe your right
Back in Black however I don't know, the riffs are solid as are the vocals. I guess for me the point isn't necassarily to have faster...If it was I'd go with "whole lotta Rosie", anyways my point being that now that they've introduced vocals and drums a songs "feel" has more to do with it.
with that last statement in mind I'd like to see the studio band do a hard rock cover of John Lee Hooker: Boom boom, few songs transcend genre like this one....it definately has a certain feel.

I keep telling you, Alive is better balanced, Black is too vocal heavy.

well, there are better choices guitar wise, but Black has an awesome bassline(and a cool guitar outro). maybe i'm a little biased because its my favorite pearl jam song, but i think it would work well. i wouldn't have a problem with Alive, it's my second choice for a pearl jam song.

I wanna rock is on Guitar Hero 80s kick it off the list. Keep in mind 80s is still developed by Harmonix.

Really, I thought harmonix was officially split.
you do bring a point to consider, if a song is really good then should we care if it's on any other game? When I came up with my list I was trying to pick songs not seen before but now I wonder if it should matter. With vocals, drums and a different style guitar doesn't Rock Band change the game enough for us to revisit some of the things we've seen before.
