Is it me, or during a certain part of the song, has a drum roll has been completely left out? I have the PS2 version and this bugs the hell out of me because the drummer visually plays it yet there are no notes for this. Is it just me, or does this annoy any one else?

this has been discussed before, but i dont really recall the exact reason.. not exactly sure but i think they took it out cuz ACTUAL rolls would've been too hard

Agreed, I noticed this too.

i've noticed that as well. No clue why. you can hear it and see the drummer on the screen playing it while you do nothing :\

yes, and I think erick is right. they took it out as 99% of the song is easy so it fits on the low tier, but that roll would've been too hard.
similar to how the ending cymbal section on Creep is simplified, same reason.

Perhaps they could've had a single "Big rock ending" note on only red for the length of the roll and you'd simply have to hit the red pad X times during the duration of the sustained to keep streak/ pass the note. Very much like the vocalist's "charge around the clock" meter.
When I first saw those long notes I thought "Cool, now they're going to have these things all over" but twas not to be.

well actually, if you hit the Overdrive sections correct, i think they give you the "drum fill overdrive" section right as that roll happens.. not exactly the same situation you were explaining, but since its the drum fill you can just hit the red pad similar to the snare roll in the game to make it feel like you're actually playing it

it's also possible that roll was edited into the original song in mastering so it's not on the original drum track and HMX decided to keep it that way, thinking about it. it sounds very different from the rest of the drum track. I suspect that might well be the case.

They took it out because they wanted it to be an easy tiered song, and the rest of the song is very easy in comparison.

That song isn't easy to everyone, heck hardly anyone, I bet. It deserves to be up there in the higher tiers, yet my cat can gold star "WDoA."
