Now, maybe i'm just a big fan of the king, but i truly believe that elvis presley deserves a spot in rock band. i think he has fairly simple songs to play, so one of his could be the first song, maybe as an intro. I do realize they are vocal heavy however. Burning love and hound dog are the best choices in my opinion, but that's just my opinion, so feel free to comment.

Oh yeah, totally... Elvis' family needs more royalties. How about giving credit to all the black musicians he rippped off and putting them in the game.

Elvis isn't the king of anything.

thats why your oppinion is humble. because you have bad taste.

elvis has zero place in rock band or any other rythem game that has surfaced.
the only type of fifties music that should be in the game is more rockabilly!

well, if said black musicians couldnt market their music, then thats their problem. maybe they should have sued, but they didnt. regardless, he has an awesome voice, and the songs he DID produce are great

Like it was an even playing field back then? Oh well, they seem to be making up for it today.

Without resorting to any taunts or name calling, I will simply say Elvis was the KING OF ROCK AND ROLL.

i don't even consider elvis "rock" anymore. i can understand how it was back then, but not today. the king of rock for me is anyone from jimmy page to mikael akerfeldt to danny carey to eddie vedder

Don't put any Elvis in the game. And don't tell me I have bad tastes in music either. I wouldn't actually call Elvis the King of Rock and Roll.

Record sales do not equate directly to talent. I'm not denying elvis was talented, but I mean

Backstreet Boys Millennium 1999
30 million album sales.

Talent? Maybe in singing. In raw talent they have squat but voices.

I would say that if you want the real king of rock and roll its gotta be either Paul McCartney, Sting, or Elvis Costello, or maybe Santana.

yeah, i can give you dozens of insanely talented bands that have never made a bestselling list. popularity isn't equivilant to talent.

well in that case, i suppose we can agree to disagree. i believe he's extremely talented, and i think a few songs are worthy.
