Yup, I do, if you look I hold the mic with the drum stick, it works also. I will have a full reaper video soon and you can see it working.

I also bought a mic stand but the clip I bought was too little :(

Nice Job! As for the mic clip, we picked one up at radio shack that was the perfect width/circumference. Cheap, too.

Awesome vid!

Any tips on how to get good at singing songs in expert? I mean is it even possible to get better at something like this?

I can get good at playing the instruments by practicing and playing the songs over and over again, but I just dont see how I can improve at vocals.

Like, I'll be singing Buddy Holly and get 100% on Easy and Medium, But if i play on Hard i'll get a lot of "Messy" and Weak" sections. And I will straight up fail halfway throught the song on Expert.

especailly at this part of the song where he sings really fast paced:

Bang! Bang! Knock on the door, another big bang, get down on the floor.
Oh No! What do we do?
Don't look now but I lost my shoe.
I can't run and I can't kick.
What's a matter babe, are you feelin' sick?
What's a matter, what's a matter, what's a matter you?
What's a matter babe, are you feelin' blue?
Oh-oh-oh!

The frustrating thing is I'll sing it in on Expert the same exact way I do on Easy and Medium but It just dosent seem to cut it vocally for the game. I even tried messing with the the mic sensitivity to see if that helps but unfortunately it does not seem to make a difference.

If anybody has any tips or advice I would really love to hear it because i just dont know what to do to get better at vocals.

Edit - Oh yeah I tried cheating by placing the mic up to the speakers but that didnt work at all. :p

If there is a thread already dedicated specifically for vocals please post the link because i tried searching and couldt find anything, and i didint want to make a new thread just for that question.

There is always the "practice" answer. But is there any way? There is the "hoover method" that someone on here patented. You basically just make sounds like a vaccuum into the mic :)

Honestly that is how I'm going through expert mode. I can only do expert by singing on just a few songs.

One thing to watch out for is vibrating your voice, learn to hold the pitch right when it goes bright green. Don't try to waver on straight segments.

But, other than that... practice :)

Great video, very entertaining! I'll added you as a friend, please add MaddoggWii60.

Speaking of practice, why is the practice mode for vocals so bare bones? For drums and guitar you can pick a section and it shows your percentage as you hit notes, none of this is available for vocals. It's basically the same as playing the song in quick play.

Nor can you pick a segment to play, which pissed me off. I was writing a program to cheat on vocals and not being able to pick segments made me scrap the program. I got too bored waiting forever for a song to get to a certain point.

Have you tried plugging in headphones and putting the mic up to the headphones during the vocals? I was wondering if this would actually work, but the other music might throw it off.

I know in options you can turn down something. Maybe I will do a little experimenting tonight :)

Cool, let me know if it works, if it does, I could use this to get some of the achievements in BWT I am unable to get otherwise since Harmonix refuses to release online BWT.

Ya, it is good for youtube quality, but I can't throw it on stage6 without going over my keying again. I just found out I have free access to four studio lights, so this was my first test of those lights. I don't think I set up the screen well though and next weekend will try a differnet light pattern on it.

Awesome video, and keep rockin man. If your friends list on X360 isn't full it would be an honor to be your friend :) (or if you ever need an expert guitar/bass or drums)
