I hope they pick S.A.T.O. by ozzy btw

But since "OMGOSH! THAY DUN PLAY TAT WUN ON TEH RADI0!" , I'll roll w/ flying high again or over the mountain.. they play those on the radio "zomg u guys"

lol

Better yet, give us crazy train so people will stfu and immediatley afterwards announce The "Diary of a madman" album as DLC

lol. I like the DOAM CD. I'm not crazy about Ozzy in general, but I do like quite a few of his songs. I like Black Sabbath better though. I don't think I've heard S.A.T.O. though....

ozzy is so inferior to black sabbath in so many ways its not even fair to compare the two.

if any song i would want Not Going Away. just because i love the slow rythem

No. Crazy Train is PERFECT for Rock Band. Not Guitar Hero, ROCK BAND. The singing and guitar work well together for this kind of game.

I really hope they don't put this useless man in Rock Band at all. No love for Ozzy, only contempt.

mucho love for the ozzman. gotta at very least have a dlc ozzy album AND sabbath album. i'd probably download ANY ozzy dlc. probably sabbath too.

btw DOAM would make a better album for rockband than any sabbath album. SATO/over the mountain ftw. song-wise when the hell are they bringing out crazy train?!

I'd be happy with either Crazy Train or Over The Mountain

Nope, because looking at the top 10, it's full of the most cliche choices imaginable.

1. Stairway to Heaven wouldn't work because it has six minutes where you literally play only ten seconds worth of guitar over and over until the solo, which isn't even Led Zeppelin's best solo, let alone the best solo ever.

2. Eruption wouldn't work in Rock Band because it's one guitar. No bass, no drums, no vocals. And other Van Halen songs are far better. Not harder, better. As in, they're good songs, not screechy crap that I can't stand listening to for a full minute.

3. Freebird's been used, but it's one of the few decent choices. But I'd still rather have Harmonix choose a new Skynyrd song. Like Call Me the Breeze, Gimme Three Steps, or Sweet Home Alabama.

4. Comfortably Numb has no guitar for three minutes worth of song. That's just keyboards, folks. And no way is the guitarwork anywhere near as impressive as Dogs.

5. All Along the Watchtower is a very over-rated Jimi song. Listen to Fire, Still Raining Still Dreaming, and Foxy Lady. They all have better guitar and drums.

6. November Rain has no guitar for the first couple of minutes. And even them, it's pretty slow until the last two minutes, and even then, it's nothing special. Listen to Nightrain or Garden of Eden.

7. One - Haven't heard; Can't comment

8. Hotel California. Yes, the solos are good, but listen to the middle four minutes. Repetitive and slow, with next to no variation for FOUR MINUTES. *cough* Life in the Fast Lane

9. Crazy Train. It's a good song, but it's not even as hard as Bark at the Moon. What does that say about the list? It says that it's shamelessly mainstream.

10. Crossroads. Welcome to the third decent fit for Rock Band! Oh, hey, it's already been used. Let's get us some White Room next, please.

For God's sake, read the page. It says it's a reader's poll, so it's nothing official, with no expert opinion, and it overlooks anything that isn't severely overplayed.

that was just the first page, im not saying just the top ten, it just happens to be the first page (funnily enough :P)

quite frankly there'll probably be more readers/voters playing this game than expert guitarists, and theres a reason these songs are 'severely overplayed'. people have heard of them, people like them and people dont mind hearing them again!
how many people looked at GH2's songlist and said, 'ZOMG! psychobilly freakout! i have to buy this game!!!'? answer... 0. 0 people said that.

however i concede, maybe that link would be better in a GH forum. speaking from my own perspective i have a tendancy to think of rockband songs in guitar terms - but this game also has singing, drums and awesome!

1. Yeah, I'd rather see something other than Stairway, like Achilles' Last Stand or Black Dog. Stairway would be good for Guitar Hero, though. :D

2. Again, something good for Guitar Hero.

3. I would gladly take Gimme Three Steps, Sweet Home Alabama or even That Smell

4. Well, can't comment on Dogs, but I can agree that Comfortably Numb probably wouldn't be good for the game.

5. You see, this one is a toughie for me. I love every one of those songs. I'd probably take Fire in-game and everything else as DLC. :)

6. I'd take Nightrain. Never heard Garden of Eden.

7. I've heard it. Not a bad song, but I think I like Enter Sandman more.

8. Hotel California. Hmm, I don't know, I would REALLY like it in the game.

9. Crazy Train wouldn't hurt, I think.

10. Absolutely MUST be DLC. At least, I pray so. Every part sounds like fun to play, except MAYBE the drums. But yeah, White Room would do nice.

2. Again, something good for Guitar Hero.

1. No. No. No. No. NO. 7.5 minutes of sleepy time is not fun.

2. "luk ma! i can wank on mah fret butins and slap mah strum bar liek a ******!" NO.

Whatever you say, mate. I think Stairway would be pretty cool.

 Okay, just saying it would do better for Rock Band considering the fact that it is pretty much guitar. Plus, it is a cool song.

Speaking of Van Halen, I hope Hot For Teacher makes it in Rock Band.

Wrong answer. I'm not making up a subjective opinion. You can listen to Stairway and see for yourself. It's a cold, hard fact. Stairway is still an amazing song, but unless Flute Hero comes out, I don't want it.

But yeah, I'd love to play the drums on Hot for Teacher. It's a great fit.

i'd still vote stairway in lol, its a dynamic song, hugely popular and has enough in it for each instrument. itd be the first song many people would play out of the whole game and one most would more than likely play again.

Have you even listened to Stairway in depth? It's a very basic song (why do you think 90% of guitar shops will kick you out if you start playing it? Anybody can play the darn thing), it's slow as hell, and it most certinly does not have enough for all instruments to keep it interesting for the 7 and 1/2 minutes it goes for. It does NOT belong in Rock Band at all. If you're going to go through the hassle of attempting to get a LZ song at least try to get a good one that will provide some value to the gamers. "Achilles' Last Stand", "The Immigrant Song", hell even "Kashmir" would be better fits!

Yes, Stairway is hugely popular, but that doesn't mean it's a good fit for the game. The Spice Girls were hugely popular, should they be included in the game too?

WingsOfSteel, I laughed at the Flute Hero idea. The setlist would be Stairway and mostly Jethro Tull songs. I'd buy that for a dollar!

thats absolutely true, bu id still thrash it. sorry. i found the first half of free bird real boring for a while, and slow, but i still love the song so i still play it.
has anyone played message in a bottle's bass part on gh2? now thats repetitive!

anything they add by ozzy would keep me happy, maybe we will be able to download one of his albums sooner or later
