Downloadable album trend?

It seems like all the DLC albums they are announcing are albums that contain one of the main setlist songs....In bloom (nevermind) and won't get fooled again (who's next?)
What do you think about this?

And remember the who, nirvana , black sabbath , and weezer were the 1st 4 confirmed

The who and nirvana are in that 1st 4

I bet next announced DLC album is "Paranoid" followed by.... w/e the hell weezers CD is called

I would not be so sure about Paranoid, they couldn't get even the one master track for that song, so it is unlikely that they could get the entire album. Or even if the Master Track still exists.

Even though I hope for it. I highly doubt both paranoid and moving pictures. Since both songs from those albums are covers.

Both of the album DLC that has been mentioned has a master track.

The Blue Album would be a nice addition. But since GHIII already has a song from the Blue Album, I'm not so sure.

Does anybody reckon that they will include downloadable albums with songs that have already been done in guitar hero series e.g. wolfmother, We Sold Our Soul for Rock 'n' Roll, audioslave, Appetite for Destruction etc...?

Because it would suck if they didnt make available some awesome albums because 1 or 2 songs have already been features in guitar hero.

I don't think songs being in other games before, or even if the songs are in Guitar Hero III, will stop them from putting them in the game, let alone on as DLC. There are a lot of great songs out there, and having only played some of them on just guitar, and sometimes bass, it would be well worth it to put them back out, especially if they were in an album because you would also get a bunch of songs you haven't played before.

i think we'll eventually see a gh1 or 2 song pop up. Its bound to happen

Yeah me too, we saw them playing 'Sweet child o' mine' in the early build. So I reckon so, plus there were some awesome songs in gh1 & 2.

The only reason that paranoid and tomsawyer are covers are because the songs are too awesome to put into the game without being covered........people might die if they did put originals in there! : ) I'm still hoping for moving pictures, or 2112, or power windows, hell I'd even take counterparts!!! I JUST GOTTA HAVE MO' RUSH!!!!!

When buying albums they mention buying the full albums, does they mean buying with actual money, or with money you earn in the game? Actual money would suck because your already selling body parts to buy the game.

Buying more songs for the game, just like buying the game itself will cost real money, sadly.

Well look at it this way All those WWII games, they use the same types of guns and what not you don't see specific Guns in specific series. I think it will be same for RB and GH I'm pretty sure well see some songs released that were in the GH series

Depending on what the licensing contract looks like (as in a non-competitive agreement), it could happen that ANY song could, theoretically, be in the game. That being said, I don't see why Harmonix couldn't bring in the GH1 songs as DLC. I just don't know if I want to play them again so soon, though. =/

I'm not too impressed with the song list so far, so no. I don't hope the trend is putting albums of artists who are on the game disc.

In fact I'm hoping quite the opposite. Let the mainstream people have their Nirvana on the game disc and let me have stuff I like as DLC.
