Ok. My red drum pad just recently broke, and I have found the issue - a wire connecting to the sensor snapped. :( Now, I've been wondering if there was a way I could fix this myself, due to the fact I do not want to sit and wait on EA to send me another one, or if I should just endure this long and tormenting process? I'll post pictures up if necessary.

Thanks in advanced.

Are retuns possible if you've already taken apart the drums like that? Does anybody know the exact guidelines as to what voids the warrenty?

You void the warrenty if the periphial appears to be abused or tampered with in any way. Yes, I have taken the pad tops off, but I did nothing to cause the wire to snap like it has. Technically, I have voided my warrenty, but it doesn't "look" like I have. :D

This is as far as I know, so anyone feel free to correct me.

i duct taped my bass petal while waiting for my new one. does this count as tampering or abuse?

Maybe you could strip both ends of the wire where it has snapped and twist it together than wrap it with electrical tape? I'm no electrician, but that worked for me on my car's headlight after I accidentally pulled the bulb I was replacing too hard and snapped the cord.

If you don't feel like dealing with the warranty process, which you are covered under, I do sell replacement sensors. Replacing a sensor will void your warranty.

Yeah I too am pretty sure the deal with the warranty is that if it looks to be damaged or tampered with then they don't have to honor it, so it looks like either you maintain it yourself or do nothing with it and wait for your new one (I'd go with option 2).
