First, about how long has it been taking to get a replacement guitar? I sent in a request on Jan 8th with express replacement thinking that it would maybe get to me in time for my sons bday party on the 12th but no luck and here it is the 15th and there is still no indication of shipment on my ups tracking number.
Second, about that patch for the GH3 guitar. I believe that I read that the holdup is with Activision not wanting to allow this patch to get released? The question I have there is why do we need Activision to ok this ? after all you are not re-engineering their controller or the software in their game you are simply changing the software of Rock Band to recognize the inputs from the GH3 controller and to make them correspond to the game correctly unless I miss my guess here you could do this without Activisions ok since you are not reworking any of their product just yours. Of course this would not make the Rock Band controller work with GH3 for that you would need to re-engineer Activisions software but since GH3 came out before RB most people I think would need to have it(GH3 controller) compatible with RB instead of the other way around. Sure would be a shame if that patch leaked out wouldn't it..?
