View Full Version : Returned Pedal with Defective Kit, EA doesn't know what to do

So, when I returned my defective RB drum kit I included every piece I received since there was a cut out for each distinctive piece. Well, it turns out you aren't supposed to return your kick pedal with a defective kit (I guess there is a separate warranty) and I contacted EA about getting a replacement pedal but the only thing they can tell me is "we are escalating the situation." through email. I wanted to know if there was any specific phone number for EA or if anyone in the forums knew something I could do to get this resolved.
Thanks

Great... about a week ago, I did the same thing. Put all my parts in the box because there were inserts for everything. Today my status was "Updated by EA", whatever the hell that means (BTW, their website blows. I got my guitar back four days before it even said parts boxed) I wonder how this is going to shake out now. Been waiting impatiently for over a week to get my drums back, now I might have to wait twice as long because people at the warranty center can't use common sense and ship you back everything you shipped them.

I am happy to hear that I am not alone and not crazy (I knew there was a cut out in the damn box for the pedal). I will let everyone know what happens. I sent a PM to Violet, so hopefully she gets back to me soon.

I would call but I do not have the support number. I got of rid of all of original rockband materials.

Got my kit back today... no pedal. So I called. Just got off the phone. Within 90 seconds the rep gave me an rma and a UPS tracking number for a new pedal which should arrive in 4-6 days. I'll post again if it does.
Here's the funny thing; they changed the packing. The slot that was in there for the pedal is now gone, and the packing instructions now have printed in big bold letters PLEASE DO NOT SEND PEDAL OR DRUM STICKS. I mentioned this to the rep (wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy and just didn't notice it before, though I read the thing top to bottom) and she apologized for sending me "the old box". It is reassuring to know that they are working out at least some of the kinks in the rma process.

Got my kit Tuesday... Called on the missing pedal Tuesday... got it today. Friday. Didn't expect it this week, but the agent on the phone sent it to me express, witch was nice considering the kit was RMA'd standard. Rock, you haven't posted in a while. Did this get resolved for you? Seems like my problems happened after yours, and I now have all my stuff back.

i also noted the new worked out kinks of RMAing a guitar. I got an empty box through standard RMA and there was a "molding" for the guitar in the box already to insert your guitar. The old way of doing it was through the original box and then putting that box into a bigger box and send it. At least now we get to use less boxes and save our environment (sorta cuz we are still sending our broken stuff and it's unclear wut they do with it). I believe thats a more effective and faster way of sending the guitar since you dont need to unpack 2 boxes :)
