The ultimate set list is as follows:
2112 - Rush (All 20:33 minutes of it, the guitar and drums will kill you and vocalists will die during IV: Presentation, with only 10 more minutes to go)
Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through - Meat Loaf (Great guitar, great drums, great vocals, and an awesome opening bass line)
Hammer to Fall - Queen (The only Queen song that I believe is absolutely perfect for the game.)
Flight of Icarus - Iron Maiden (Why not have what could be the greatest Maiden song of all time?)
Heart of a Dragon - Dragonforce (If you're still crying over the guitar for Through the Fire and the Flames on GHIII, then this will soothe those pains. The guitar is still extremely hard and the drums will leave your hands withered and useless, but the vocals...)
Purple Rain - Prince (The ultimate grand finale. If the "Oh oh oh"s in Welcome Home make you feel like a rock god, then the ending "Oooooo"s of this will make it a fact)
Burning Love - Elvis (Every game needs at least one song by Elvis, so why not the one where he proved that even at the end of his life he could still rock?)
Street Fighting Man - The Rolling Stones (Great opening drums and vocals that will make you strut around your living room)
Renegade - Styx (Drums and vocals only during the end? It makes you believe you are a god)
I've Got a Feeling - The Beatles (Sure, you'll lose the call and response portion of the song that makes it great, but the vocals and guitar...)
More Than a Feeling - Boston (The Ulimate song. 'Nuff said)
Alpha and Omega - Stratovarius (The vocals and solo will make you ruler of your living room)
Cowboy Song - Thin Lizzy (One of the greatest guitar solos of all time and vocals that, while not making you a god, will make you a pimp)
Bad for Good - Meat Loaf (You know what? Nearly every song I put on here has great vocals, so I won't mention that anymore. Now here we have awesome Brian May guitar. 'Nuff said)
Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield (Pour out all your repressed love into one great song)
In the City - The Eagles (Never has hopelessness sounded so awesome)
Ask the Lonely - Journey (Drums, guitar and vocals. Perfect)
The Trooper - Iron Maiden (They've already got two great Maiden songs available, so why not the greatest guitar one?)
The Final Countdown - Europe (One of the greatest solos of all time. You will own your living room)
Cliffs of Dover - Eric Johnson (This is reaching it, as there are no vocals. And sure, you can rock out with it on GH3, but the drums sound fun as Hell. Just listen to it)
Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen (Make that guitar talk!)
Shooting Star - Bad Company (Sing about your autobiography with ending vocals that vie with Purple Rain for ultimate rock godhood)
I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick (Some of the greatest drums I've ever heard)
Whiskey in the Jar - Thin Lizzy (Solo! That's all I need to say)
Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi (Great solo and drums. It's too bad that the game doesn't allow backing vocals, as the ones before the chorus are better than what the lead is actually singing)
Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue - Toby Keith (While technically not a rock song, it's still pretty rocking. The solo is amazing and the vocals will fill you with patriotic pride)
Nobody Told Me - John Lennon (Just stumble stupidly around your living room and you will live these lyrics. Not bad guitar either)
Instant Karma - John Lennon (Get your whole band to sing along with this one)
It Don't Come Easy - Ringo Starr (Drums!)
Band on the Run - Wings (Rock out with a prison break)
King of Kings - Motorhead (The drums, guitar and vocals will make you a god. The vocals are hard as they are sung, but growled)
Everything Louder than Everything Else - Meat Loaf (A good solid chant in the middle to make the crowd love you)
Bat out of Hell - Meat Loaf (See long your stamina lasts when you're working overdrive all the instraments. Vocalists, you may need some water nearby, as the song is long and loud)
You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth - Meat Loaf (Some of the best drums I've ever heard. Guitar is lacking, but the vocals and drums make up for it, particulary at the end)
A Matter of Trust - Billy Joel (An awesome rocker. The vocals are amazing and so is the guitar)
An Innocent Man - Billy Joel (Lets give the bass some time to shine for a change)
The Invisible Man - Queen (Same here)
Getting Better - The Beatles (A simple song, but powerful nonetheless)
PartyPartyParty - Andrew W.K. (Very short, but to the point. Great drums and guitar. Particulary the solo)
That's all I can think of for now. So go out and try listen to these songs. I find them amazing, you should too.
