I like Creed, and thats as far as i would go. THey can offer other stuff as DLC but there is a million other songs that should be ahead of any of those guys.

The Thread is Christian Metal bands. I'm sorry but Relient K isn't metal. Neither is Skillet...but still Skillet should be in there. I would say As I Lay Dying from the choices given

If you are going to be picky about what is and is not Metal, TFK, Kutless, Red, and some of the others aren't Christian Metal either. I mean Kutless has done more worship type of music than anything. And TFK is more rapcore.
I say there should be some Pillar in there. Rob Beckley (lead singer of Pillar) has a lot of good metal style vocals in some of their newer stuff. They aren't technically Metal either, but they have some pretty heavy tunes.

Just got from an Still Remains/August Burns Red/As I Lay Dying concert.... Yeah, I'll go with ABR and AILD, as they'd be fun to rock out to. Being in an oversold concert is a bigger pain in the ass than it's worth but ah well, it was fun, and everybody went damn nuts when AILD busted out Forever.
Oh and they're officially the only Christian bands I listen to, as I didn't know they were Christian until after I got into them (ABR makes it really, really obvious at their shows.. AILD, less so.)

P.O.D. is far from "metal", in my opinion... but what's labeling, right?
Being said, I opt for a [select] few Underoath tracks. Love the band, but I'll admit most of their stuff would be a bit out of place. The more melodic stuff would work, though.
And how.

Emery. Simply can't go wrong with Emery.

I understand that they are not metal, and not officially classified as a Christian band, but Flyleaf is already in here. If you check out their site, all of the band members are strong Christians, and it does show in their music. I'm not even Christian, but I still adore Flyleaf.

hhhhhmmm you should add anberlin, lesser known band but very cool songs such as godspeed which would fit Rock Band very well.

Why am I the only one who voted for August Burns Red? Why am I talking in such a high voice?? It makes no sense! Ughh! (Dane Cook) lmao...Still Remains is good too (well...the old stuff anyway). Man I figured ABR would be off the charts with votes but I guess not lol...

Hmmm... yup, alot of these don't belong to the "Christian Metal" group.
You should've just made it any overall Christian Rock group if you were gonna do this.
I would vote Skillet, if it was on there.
Disciple would be awesome to add.
Kutless; I'd like to see it.
TFK would be ok.
Pillar would be a good choice.
I would like to see Anberlin :p

There's already a thread.
The general consensus: Keep Jesus out of Rockband. Sure Some of the bands could have a song or two in there, as long as it's not about Jesus.
Jesus + Rock = Doesn't mix well.

I'm not a fan of christian rock/metal, but a friend of mine turned me on to a group called Norma Jean. Anybody else heard of them?
I would love to see them in there as far as christian metal goes.
They are heavy, with growling vocals.
Wouldn't know it was a christian band if you don't follow the lyrics.
Anybody?

I'm not trying to be controversial, but I don't believe that putting bands in this game because they are considered Christian is a good idea. If these are some of your favorite bands then that is cool, but putting a label like "Christian Metal" on a video game, might cause some trouble. Just a little insight.
Cheers,

RockBand should not have any band with a growling vocalist. The game is about matching pitch. I don't have anything against the band it just, at least I think, doesn't have a place in rockband. (this goes for all growling bands)

It'd be hilarious if they released a Slayer pack, an Emperor pack and a Mayhem pack.

i think your mixing two different songs up.
"jerry was a race car driver" by primus
"jesus built my hot rod" by ministry
you see while he loves the challenge of the build he hates the risk of the drive

But at the same time, RockBand is about enjoying the music that you love, and playing to those songs. If the growling is what you enjoy, I'm sure there is a way that it can be done. Besides, I checked out the upcoming Thrash Pack DLC, and Shadow World by The Haunted (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=37246637) is pretty "growly"
I'm interested in seeing how they do it.

If they ever put norma jean on here, I'd poo myself with joy.
Especially if it was the old stuff before they got a new vocalist.
That being said, I'd heart having the Chariot on here too.
And ABR would be pretty hard for the drummer. =x

That is because you are an unwelcome particpant in this thread.
This thread was not intended for your use.
Please, use your time (and ours) more wisely in the future & don't participate in threads that don't interest you.
We are not interested in your lack of tolerance & understanding, anymore than you are interested in the music that you have never heard and therefore can't appreciate.

A christian metal poll without Trouble is useless. At least there's no Stryper listed....

This is a public forum, and as such, it is for EVERYONE'S use. Period. If you didnt wan't outside opinions to shake your fragile mind, you should have stayed in church. Outside that, everyone has the right to express their opinion, even if it means *God forbid* disagreeing with you. Tough, that's the way the real world works kid.
Having actually listened to Skillet, I can tell you they are not good. Plain and simple they lack technical skill. There's a reason they are not mainstream at all.
Tolerance is such a poor, abused word in the Christian vocabulary. They use it whenever they want someone else to shut up and have their way. Well guess what, if you post something on a public forum there are going to be people who disagree. Calling them "Intolerant" is just ignorant of what the word really means, and a poor attempt at censoring opposing views.
Just because the first name of Blindside's singer is Christian does not make THEM Christian. Same for U2, Primus, Chevelle, or any other band the zealots keep trying to claim. From Wiki...
"Chevelle has caused controversy among Christian groups, because at one point they were on a Christian rock label, and thus the band has mistakenly been labeled "Christian rock." Kieth Miller of Evangelsociety.org has been critical of Chevelle due to the band touring on Ozzfest with bands such as Cradle of Filth, who he claims incorporate strong satanic and anti-Christian themes into their lyrics.[29] Sam Loeffler said, 'It’s something that’s probably going to follow us around forever and that’s fine. It’s pretty simple. We originally signed with a record company that was backed by Word, so the record [Point #1] was in Christian bookstores. It was really an accidental thing.'
Chevelle have tried to distance themselves from a Christian identity, claiming that they are not a Christian band"
So try doing some actual research before making claims.

Because I don't care what you want. That's your mom's job, not mine.
You were being an uncivilized jerk. If you had been nice and just rolled with the disagreeing opinions then I wouldn't have been interested. Alas, you had to be rude and condescending. So while I have no interest whatsoever in Christian Metal, I have a huge interest in people who need a few lessons in manners and respect.
And you, sir, are obviously one of them.

Jot and Burn, You might as well stop argueing now, and dont start the "the other guy started it." Just leave as is. We already know that you reall yca care about the threads, Jot. If someone is not agreeing about the thread and leaves one post, then the best thing would to let it be. If you have someone doing more, then they pretty much have come in here to flame. Burn...you are going to to keep doing what your doing. You obviously felt the need to stick up for someone with your beliefs. I have no problem with that. I also have no problem with someone coming here saying that they do not agree with whats being said in the thread. To be honest though, you come in these threads much too often to give your opinion. In anykind Forum, you would be considered a Flamer. Like we said, we can not stop you from doing what your doing, but man, enough is enough sometimes. Wouldn't you think?
