I actually heard mixed opinions on the movie from one of the local radio shows I am a fan of. They all pretty much agreed it's not worth full price.

Reminds me too much of The Blair Witch Project, with the group of scared friends (all of whom seem incredibly annoying), the shaky handicam filming, and the unseen evil. I wouldn't see this movie with your eyes.

I don't think they will show the monster or whatever it is, I suppose they are going to pull a Blair Witch Project type of ending, just when you think that the monster is going to make it's stellar apereance, bam!! movie is over.

I saw the sneak preview on Tuesday night, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. :)

It had me hooked from the first few minutes & I loved how they were able to tie everything together. :D

Just got back from seeing it in a theater full of people who think yelling at the screen will change what the characters in the movie are going to do. THe experience could have been better but the movie was really good.

It was a very good movie. I thought that it being all filmed on a handheld would make it unwatchable but that is actually one of the things I like most about it. This is definately worthy of and will be added to my DVD collection once it comes out.

I saw it last night. Really good Better than godzilla altough the fillming was a little crazy made me wanna vomit. I think Hud was the saving grace without his comit relief it would have sucked. I mean Homless people on fire is scary. I thought the monster could have been scarier

All i wanna know is how the hell did they have the energy to walk from the Brooklyn Bridge to 59th street and then walk up the Aol buldings staircasz witch as at least 50 floors. (i was in that building while it was being constructed)

the way they blended the hand held camera style of filming and have that with the special effects it was like you were in the movie....this movies needs to be seen at the theaters

I think that is right for the most part. That is what most people believe on imdb.com, anyways. The good, and bad, of this movie as that there probably won't ever be definite answers to any of the questions unless they make a sequel, and I really hope that they don't do that.

1.Isent it all surpose to happen on Jan 18th???
2.SATURDAY May 23rd is in 2009........this year may 23rd is on a friday!


This and the ending after the credits audio clip only brings me to think that may 23rd 2009 is Cloverfield 2. I am not sure how it will be but from the video introduction (black screen with the text), it looks like a military encoding or sumthing. Maybe it will start from Robs speech at the end and come in with people from the Pentagon/FBI/CIA watching what happened and end everything with what happened with the monster and how it was made. Kind of just tie it all together.

The video camera in the movie shows May 23 for the date on occasion, so i think you may be looking too much into it. The date on the pictures is to build up hype for the release date, IMO. Or it could just be a mistake by the filmmakers. Also, I think i read somewhere that if they were to make a cloverfield 2 it would be documentation of the same night just from a different camera.

I agree. It would have been much better had it been 1-18-08 in the movie. That or not release the film until May 23 or whenever. As for time, they could have made it longer but what more was there to do?

More running away from the monster with a shaky cam! This is why i hated the movie. 95% of the movie was them running away from sh!t with the camera. yawnsville. I stuck through the whole thing and felt nothing but regret for wasting the hour and 13 minutes on the film.
