too much metallica and Hendrix in my mind: pick one song you think is better for the game and leave the others out. i'd also yank out Trogdor considering its allready been in GH2.

Trogdor is just.... trogdor and you have to keep it.... new game=new parts
I put so much metallica and hendrix because they are the gods of rock and it would be cool to get entire albums...... giggity

i think if you want to have a humorous rock-song or whatever, replace Trogdor with Tribute from Tenacious D.
and also, it probably would be nice to have entire Met albums in there. but at the same time, it would be nice to have entire albums from Zeppelin, Floyd, Ramones...., gotta consider the concept of "equal air time"

If you really want a humorous song, replace both of them with: Rednecks Rule Really Hard by Dawn of the Dude. I know you have never heard but it is funny as hell. you can hear them on purevolume.com if you want but if you don't, you can just take my word for it
Also I believe that you are putting whole albums from Mettallica, you will have to put whole albums from those three bands above along with bands like ACDC, Van Halen,(in my personal opinion)Guns N' Roses(frickin awesome) and other bands like that, so this just causes a giant predictament of who/what to put in the game.

well i do remember HMXSean hinting that their aiming for a 50 song set-list. and 5 songs by the same band....thats 10% of the setlist by the same group, when in the past you dont see any band more than once in the same game.

That would be cool but it would be tough to please people with only 10 different artists. It seems like they could do more than 50 songs though.

yah thats my point, the more bads you have, and wider variety you have, you increase your target audience. and i agree, you gotta be really picky if you only have 10 artists for one game.
yah they probably COULD do more songs, but consider this. theres those 50 songs, but they have to make iit for four difficulty levels. which expands that to 200 songs they make, than expand that to the 4 instruments they gotta do, theres 800. consider a versus option like in GH, and theres even more work to do. all those versions really add up, similar to how on a dvd they have the same movie but in multiple languages, subtitles, subtitled languages, commentaries, sometimes even commentary subtitles.

I would actually have a setlist similar to GHII and then have entire albums of song that u could buy online for like 10 bucks each but have like 15 songs on each album
